Are ‘Big Brother’s Rome Seymour & Lyric Medeiros Still Together After Elimination?
Rome Seymour and Lyric Medeiros may have been evicted from the Big Brother house, but their Season 28 showmance is far from over.
During Season 28 of Big Brother, pickleball coach Rome fell for former American Idol star and current attorney Lyric within the first two days of the season. By Day 2, these lovebirds were already making out on a bunk bed. Before Rome was evicted during Week 2, he and Lyric had already confessed their love for each other. When Lyric was evicted during Week 4, she told Swooon, “I actually wanted to say ‘I love you’ before he said ‘I love you’ because the connection we had was just indescribable. It’s something I’ve never felt before. When you know, you know.”

Are Rome and Lyric still together?
Yes, Rome and Lyric are still together outside of the Big Brother house. When Lyric left the BB house, Rome immediately messaged her, “Lyric, my love! It has felt like an eternity since I’ve been able to talk to you… Everyday felt like forever!!! I’ve tried to be your biggest cheerleader and supported you through everything in this game, but I’m sorry that I couldn’t be there to hold you when you cried or help you when you were nervous!”
Later in the message, Rome told Lyric that he has been talking to her mom and best friend Mina “every day” since he was evicted from the house. He explained, “I love them both. I FaceTimed with your mom and dad and I and I can tell where you get your sweet personality from.” He concluded, “I am still madly in love with you and I’ve missed you like crazy.”

Have Rome and Lyric reunited since leaving Big Brother?
On August 18, Rome traveled to Hawaii to reunite with Lyric in person for the first time since her eviction. Lyric announced their reunion, letting her followers know that she was driving to the airport to pick up the “love of [her] life.” In a travel video posted later, Rome also officially called Lyric his girlfriend.

Swooon spoke with Rome after his elimination from Big Brother, and he was “willing to wait” however long it took to reunite with her. Thankfully, he didn’t have to wait very long! “She’s everything you could ever ask in a person,” he gushed. “She’s selfless. She’s caring. She’s sweet. She’s kind. It’s the perfect person in my eyes, and she’s someone you don’t just give up on because she’s somewhere, and I’m outside the house.”
As for what’s next for their relationship, Rome and Lyric haven’t shared their plans. Rome currently lives in Florida, while Lyric lives in Hawaii. Will these two try long distance? Or will one of them take the leap and move to a new state?
Cody Nickson, who met his now-wife, Jessica Graf, on Big Brother, commented on one of Rome and Lyric’s videos, “I haven’t watched this season, but this popped up on my feed and I learned that you two met and fell in love on the same show where I met and fell in love with my now wife. Since then, we’ve had five beautiful girls together, built a life and a family, and it all started because God gave us each other on that show. You two look like you are in love. Realize the real prize was never winning Big Brother. It was finding the person God put there for you. Have a foundation in Christ, pray together every day, build your lives together, grow together… yall will be so blessed for it.”
