What To Know

  • 90 Day Fiancé star Jenny Slatten was diagnosed with ALS in December.
  • She and her husband, Sumit Singh, are seeking fan support for a U.S. spousal visa so Jenny can access medical treatment in America without being separated from Sumit.
  • The couple gave an update on Jenny’s declining health.

In July 2026, 90 Day Fiancé stars Armando Rubio and Kenny Niedermeier put out a plea for help in getting a humanitarian visa, so Armando could be by his daughter Hannah’s side while she received treatment for a health scare in the States. Now, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh, who are currently starring in 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 3, are asking fans for the same support amid Jenny’s ALS battle.

In an August 30 update on Jenny’s health, Sumit revealed that Jenny’s mobility and speech have started to deteriorate more rapidly. He explained, “It’s hard for you [Jenny] to talk now, and again, walk and maintain balance as well… Jenny’s losing strength in her [spine] and neck… which is making it harder for Jenny to balance while she is walking or doing anything.”

Since Jenny is an American citizen living in India, the couple’s original plan was to travel to the United States for medical treatment. However, she will not go without Sumit by her side, and he has yet to get a United States visa approved. According to the couple, their biggest concern has been Jenny traveling to America and being unable to return to India, which would, in turn, mean never seeing Sumit again. Sumit told viewers, “It means that we’re going to be apart, for kind of forever.”

“I want Jenny to start getting treated,” Sumit explained. “I want Jenny to start feeling better, or at least [have a] support system which makes Jenny at least feel like not a struggle every day.” To do that, Sumit reveals he has to get a visa, or “pay the price by completely giving up our relationship.”

According to Sumit, this is Jenny’s first time applying for a spousal visa. Sumit revealed, “I am trying to get my visa to support my wife who never tried before, but have to pay the price for some scammers who do use the similar kind of situation and made our own reputation bad, and that’s why that’s what it is.”

In the past, 90 Day Fiancé fans have been able to create tangible change for couples in need of support. Sumit continued, “We saw Kenny and Armando get help… Obviously, a lot of people do wrong things to scam and try to just get into America and then leave their partners, and it happens in our show as well, and that’s why they thought, like, ‘Okay, it’s not gonna work here,’ and I didn’t get the visa. I hope somebody will come up with a solution, maybe a lawyer or attorney… I just want to go there.”

Sumit concluded, “We wish to hear from someone who could help us just like they did for Kenny and Armando. I think our situation is as equal or bigger than that.”
