‘Off Campus’ Reading Order: What Comes After Garrett & Hannah’s Love Story?
Long before the Off Campus TV series featuring Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright was announced, Elle Kennedy published Garrett and Hannah’s love story, beginning a long line of swoonworthy hockey romances.
Kennedy has three hockey series set in the Briar Universe: Off Campus, Briar U, and Campus Diaries. While Briar U follows more members of Garrett’s team, and Campus Diaries explores the second generation of the beloved characters, the Off Campus series is the quartet that started it all.
As Kennedy puts it, “Off Campus is the very beginning of this interconnected series with four books: The Deal, The Mistake, The Score & The Goal. These four books follow the story of four hockey players who live in an off-campus building, each of the four men having a book to tell their story. The fifth book, The Legacy, was added later and is an add-on (extended epilogue) for each main character.”

Off Campus, Season 1, 2026, Prime Video
The Deal
Elle Kennedy
Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham are the couple who start it all! Enter Briar University here, and fall in love with music major Hannah and hockey star Garrett as they fall for each other. Following a run-in after class, Hannah promises to tutor Garrett in return for a pretend date in front of her real crush. From there, they become unlikely friends and, no spoilers, but it is a romance novel…
This romance dives deep into a strangers-to-friends-to-lover arc, with just as much swoon as there are conversations about anxiety with intimacy, confidence, and more. Whether you love hockey or don’t even know what that little round thing is called (Spoiler Alert: It’s a puck), this is the perfect romance novel through and through.
The Mistake

After The Deal comes The Mistake, which follows Garrett’s teammate and bestie, John Logan, along with a freshman named Grace Ivers. While you don’t need to read the first book in the series before jumping into The Mistake, we would highly suggest getting to know Garrett and Hannah before you step into Logan’s budding relationship. In all honesty, it’s a lot more fun to read each of Garrett’s friends’ love stories after you get to know them through his eyes.
The Mistake begins with Logan looking for a distraction. A sexy encounter with Grace makes him realize he may be more into her than he thought. After a thoughtless mistake — get it? — jeopardizes their connection, Logan becomes a certified yearner, groveling to get her back. Sure, you’ve met Logan, but you’ve never seen him like this.
The Score

The third book in the series follows Allie Hayes, Hannah’s best friend from The Deal. Newly single, Allie shares a wild night with Garrett’s teammate and campus flirt, Dean Heyward-Di Laurentis, at the start of The Score. However, while Dean believes no woman on campus can resist his charms, the first time he’s ever interested in what comes after a one-night stand, Allie’s not interested.
Again, this book could be read as a standalone, but knowing Allie and Dean as previous leads’ besties makes it all the more fun to get inside their heads. Plus, Allie and Dean’s relationship is bound to get a huge reaction from the rest of the friend group once it’s revealed, so you’re going to want to know the key players before seeing the fallout.
The Goal
Elle Kennedy
The Goal features the last couple of the Off Campus series, Briar U hockey player John Tucker, and The Score lead, Dean’s academic rival, Sabrina James. After a steamy night together, the two walk away with more than just memories. Once Sabrina finds out she’s expecting, Tucker wants nothing more than to step up. The only question is: Will Sabrina be able to let him in?
Tucker and Sabrina’s story can be enjoyed on its own, but Tucker is present throughout the series, and Sabrina is a key player in The Score. While their romance can exist on its own, it’s so much better when it’s read after the others.
The Legacy
Elle Kennedy
Just when you thought the Off Campus series was over, Elle Kennedy swooped in with one more book, featuring stories from all four of the beloved couples. The Legacy takes place after the majority of the Off Campus leads graduate from Briar and embark on lives as full-fledged adults. Kennedy teases, “A wedding. A proposal. An elopement. And a surprise pregnancy.” Which couple is which? You’ll have to read it to find out.
Since this book covers all four couples and takes place after their love stories, The Legacy should be read last, no matter which order you decide to pick up the first four books in the series. Happy reading!
