So many shows on HGTV feature real-life couples teaming up to flip houses, renovate properties, and more. These duos have proven that they’re able to mix their professional and personal lives successfully.

9. Brian & Mika Kleinschmidt
Brian Kleinschmidt and Mika Kleinschmidt’s relationship dates all the way back to high school! Although he had a crush on her at the time, she wasn’t interested. They maintained a friendship and didn’t connect romantically until years later.
The
stars, who have won Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge and Rock the Block, ended up getting married in 2015. They don’t share any kids, although Brian is a father figure to Mika’s daughter from a previous relationship.

8. Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson
Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson have been hosting Married to Real Estate since 2022, but it wasn’t home renovation that led to their first meeting. The two actually met in the early 2000s while he was working as a DJ in New York, and she was a radio host. At the time, Sherrod wasn’t interested in pursuing a relationship, and when they crossed paths again six months later, Jackson decided not to broach the subject.
However, in 2004, the stars finally aligned. Sherrod was flipping a home, and Jackson was called in as the contractor. The rest is history! The couple wed in 2010 and have three kids.

7. Nate Berkus & Jeremiah Brent
Who doesn’t love these two?! The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project stars have been dating since 2011. Their mutual friend Rachel Zoe had previously told them that they’d be great together, but it wasn’t until they were both single at her birthday party that Nate Berkus approached Jeremiah Brent and asked him out.
They’ve been married since 2014 and have two children.

6. Tarek & Heather El Moussa
Tarek El Moussa came to HGTV in 2013 with then-wife Christina Haack. The two starred on Flip or Flop and became staples on the network. However, they eventually divorced, and he married Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young) in 2021. Tarek and Heather have one son.
Now, they’ve made their own impact on HGTV with their show The Flipping El Moussas. Plus, they starred alongside Haack on The Flip Off in 2025.

5. Dave & Jenny Marrs
Dave Marrs and Jenny Marrs have been together since 2002. They were together for 18 months and dated long distance when they decided to quit their corporate jobs and build a house-flipping company together. The couple initially turned down HGTV’s offer of a reality show about their business because they were busy raising young children. At the time, the Marrs’ had four kids. Now, they have five.
Eventually, they agreed to film a pilot for a new show and Fixer to Fabulous was born. It premiered on the network in 2019.

4. Cole & Chelsea DeBoer
Chelsea DeBoer and Cole DeBoer got their start on MTV, but they made their HGTV debut in 2023 with the series Down Home Fab. After meeting at a gas station in 2014, Chelsea and Cole got married in 2016 and share three children. He is also a father figure to her daughter Aubree from a previous relationship.
Cole and Chelsea have solidified their place on HGTV, with a third season of Down Home Fab expected in 2025. Plus, they’re competing on Season 6 of Rock the Block.

3. Tristyn & Kamohai Kalama
Tristyn Kalama and Kamohai Kalama didn’t join HGTV until 2024, but they’ve become one of the most beloved couples on the network while hosting Renovation Aloha. The two met while Kamohai was working as a substance abuse counselor at the same treatment center where Tristyn’s mom was employed. Tristyn began an internship at the center and crossed paths with her now-husband.
The couple has been married for nearly 10 years. They have two children.

2. Chip & Joanna Gaines
Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines aren’t HGTV regulars anymore, but they were staples on the network during Fixer Upper’s run from 2014-2017. Although they have since started their own media company called Magnolia Network, they returned to their roots for Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse in 2024, which honored the 10-year anniversary of Fixer Upper’s premiere.
The Gaines’ met in 2001, and although it “wasn’t love at first sight,” according to Joanna, they eventually became an item. After tying the knot in 2003, they went on to have five children together.

1. Erin & Ben Napier
Erin Napier and Ben Napier are HGTV royalty. They’ve been with the network since Home Town premiered in 2016, but their relationship dates back much longer than that. The two are college sweethearts and went on their first date in December 2004 while they were students at Jones County Junior College. Less than one week after the date, they knew they would get married one day.
The pair tied the knot in 2008 and have two daughters. In addition to building their life together, they’ve also continued to star on Home Town and various spinoffs.
