Sound the Alarm of Love! ‘Chicago P.D.’ Stars & Their Real-Life Romances
Chicago P.D. crew is a small but close-knit crew. The police drama was the first Chicago Fire spinoff and premiered in 2014. Over the last 12 seasons, One Chicago fans have come to know and love the Intelligence team — and hold their breaths while watching all the shocking twists.
The officers and detectives keeping Chicago safe in the NBC series have been involved in plenty of romances throughout the seasons, but what about in real life? Some have been with their romantic partners for years, and two stars found love on the show together.

Patrick John Flueger and Reem Amara
Patrick John Flueger has played street-smart police officer Adam Ruzek since the show’s premiere in 2014. Ruzek and Kim Burgess are preparing to walk down the aisle on the show, but in real life, model and actress Reem Amara has Flueger’s heart. They first went public with their romance in 2019.
Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos
Halstead and Upton forever! Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos fell in love on the set of Chicago P.D. just like their characters did on the show. They haven’t officially confirmed their romance, preferring to be low-key about their relationship. However, Spiridakos has started sharing more photos with Soffer on social media. It’s unclear when they started dating. Soffer left Chicago P.D. in 2022 (and has since joined FBI: International) while Spiridakos exited in 2024.
Shawn Hatosy and Kelly Albanese
Shawn Hatosy joined Chicago P.D. Season 12 in the recurring role of Deputy Chief Reid. The actor has been married to Kelly Albanese since 2010. They have three children together.
Marina Squerciati and Eli Kay-Oliphant
Marina Squerciati has starred as the tough-as-nails Kim Burgess since Season 1. Squerciati has found love like Burgess has with Ruzek. The actress is married to attorney Eli Kay-Oliphant. They have two daughters.
Amy Morton and Rob Milburn
Intelligence would be nothing without Sergeant Trudy Platt! The beloved character is also married to Mouch from Chicago Fire. In real life, Amy Morton is married to theater designer Rob Milburn.
Jason Beghe
Jason Beghe has been leading the way as Sergeant Hank Voight since Chicago P.D.’s debut. Beghe married Angie Janu in 2000. He filed for divorce in 2017, and his split from Janu was finalized in 2020. They share two children.
LaRoyce Hawkins
LaRoyce Hawkins has played the dedicated and level-headed Kevin Atwater for 12 seasons. Atwater has had many ups and downs romantically throughout the seasons. (But seriously, it’s time to let Atwater find his forever love.) In real life, Hawkins keeps his personal life private. He has not publicly revealed whether or not he’s in a relationship at the moment
Benjamin Levy Aguilar
Benjamin Levy Aguilar has been a part of the Chicago P.D. family as Officer Dante Torres since Season 9. Aguilar’s relationship status today is unclear, but he did previously date his Filthy Rich costar Olivia Macklin.
Toya Turner
Toya Turner is a new member of Intelligence as Officer Kiana Cook. She joined the show in Season 12. The Warrior Nun alum prefers to keep her private life out of the public eye. She has not disclosed whether or not she’s in a relationship.
