“How’s this for a personal essay?!”

We’re only one week away from the premiere of the Legally Blonde prequel series, Elle, so it’s about time we say hello to the cast of the new series. Fans first got to know Lexi Minetree, the actress selected from the open call to play Elle Woods, offered the role by the OG star, Reese Witherspoon, herself.

Over the past year, we’ve gotten to know Minetree and found out that she can stun in every shade of pink. Now, Hello Sunshine has even shared her audition tape for the role, mirroring Elle Woods’ iconic Harvard video essay, which you can watch here!

While this may be Minetree’s leading lady debut, fans have already gotten to know many of her costars, including Chandler Kinney, Tom Everett Scott, and June Diane Raphael in previous roles. Rounding out the cast, Minetree is joined by Jacob Moskovitz, Zac Looker, and Gabrielle Policano.

Get to know Lexi Minetree and the entire Elle cast and find out more about their characters below!

Lexi Minetree as Elle Woods

Stepping into Reese Witherspoon’s shoes is a tough gig. Luckily, Lexi Minetree is the perfect girl for the job. Legally Blonde fans might remember the viral video of Witherspoon telling Minetree that she landed the role of young Elle Woods, where she immediately burst into tears and told the OG Elle, “Wait, I need to call my mom.”

At 25, Minetree is a graduate of the University of Southern California, who studied abroad at the British American Drama Academy in London. While she has played minor roles in previous projects, Elle will undoubtedly be her breakout series. (What, like it’s hard?) Unlike Elle, who makes being a Gemini a personality trait, Minetree is a Taurus.

Jacob Moskovitz as Miles

Jacob Moskovitz plays Miles, the school’s star athlete who is “very charmed by [Elle]. VERY charmed by her,” as Moskovitz told Swooon at Prime Video’s 2025 Upfront. Before Elle, Moskovitz starred in Y2K and made appearances in Magnum P.I.Chicago P.D., and FBI: International. Outside of his onscreen presence, we actually don’t know much about the actor as he keeps a low profile on social media.

Zac Looker as Dustin

Zac Looker is a 22-year-old British actor, best known for playing Toby Pilgrim in Geek Girl and Frank in Kind of a Spark. Looker told Swooon that his character Dustin, who is Elle’s social justice-focused classmate, and Elle are “kind of like oil and water in a way… They’re very different from each other, but they kind of have a throughline of values that connects them.” Looks like we may have a love triangle between Elle, Miles, and Dustin on our hands!

According to Kinney, her character Kimberly is “Elle’s nemesis” in Seattle.
