Brewing Love! ‘House of Guinness’ Cast & Their Real-Life Romances

As one character in Netflix’s newest period drama, House of Guinness, points out, it seems like no one in the Guinness family can be with the one they truly love. Edward (Louis Partridge) weds Adelaide (Ann Skelly), but he’s really still in love with Ellen (Niamh McCormack). Arthur enters a lavender marriage with Olivia (Danielle Galligan), but the latter winds up falling for their foreman (James Norton).
We could go on and on, but you get the gist. Since the characters are so unlucky in love, we found ourselves wondering about the real-life loves of the House of Guinness cast. Thankfully, their love lives are far less complicated. So, which stars are single, and which are off the market? Louis Partridge
Louis Partridge might have the most high profile relationship out of all his costars. He’s been linked to musician Olivia Rodrigo since late 2023. The 22-year-old has supported Rodrigo at her concerts, and they’ve been spotted on dates. However, they haven’t spoken at length about their relationship.
“Olivia and I choose, or have been choosing, to not be so public,” he told Esquire UK in September 2025. “Obviously, it has been quite a big summer for her with Glastonbury, but there’s a sanctity to being private.”
When Variety asked how Partridge feels being “Mr. Olivia Rodrigo,” he responded that he’s had the title for “a while now. I’m very happy, and I think she is too, so all is good in our world.”
Anthony Boyle
The eldest Guinness sibling had a rough time in the romance department throughout Season 1. But what do we know of his portrayer?
The Manhunt star is currently believed to be single. Boyle keeps his romantic life under wraps, so there’s no way of knowing for sure whether or not he’s dating anyone.
James Norton
Mr. Rafferty has a few romantic entanglements in the show, but his actor, James Norton, appears to be single at the moment. He hasn’t confirmed that he’s dated anyone since his split from actress Imogen Poots in 2023. They met while starring together in the play Belleville in 2017, started dating a year later, and got engaged in 2022.
Norton opened up about their “abrupt” breakup in an interview with The Independent earlier this year. “I was about to have kids, about to get married, all that kind of stuff, and my life just turned around, completely changed direction.”
He continued, “And actually, in the last year and a half, I have gone through the most monumental change as a result, and I feel like I’ve grown up, I feel like I’ve become a man.”
Since then, some rumors have floated around about Norton’s love life. The Sun linked him to London-based model Charlotte Rose Smith and Lily Allen.
Niamh McCormack
Niamh McCormack’s character, Ellen, falls into a forbidden romance with Edward, but it seems like the 24-year-old actress is single. There are no signs of a significant other on her Instagram, and she hasn’t spoken about her romantic life in the media.
Emily Fairn
Not much is known about Emily Fairn‘s — who plays the only Guinness daughter — romantic life. After scanning her Instagram, we did spot a photo from 2023 in which she had a man’s arm wrapped around her. She captioned the post with a heart emoji, but she clearly prefers to keep her personal life out of the public eye.
Jack Gleeson
Games of Thrones alum Jack Gleeson plays the American emissary for the Guinness family, Byron Hedges. Byron doesn’t get a love interest this season, but Gleeson has one. The actor married actress-comedian Róisín O’Mahony in 2022. They’ve kept their romance out of the spotlight over the years.
Fionn O'Shea
Benjamin Guinness’ actor, Fionn O’Shea, has starred in a few romance projects, including Dating Amber and Normal People. The actor hasn’t made his romantic life public, however, so he’s currently believed to be single.
Danielle Galligan
Danielle Galligan doesn’t share details about her love life on social media, so we aren’t sure whether or not she has a special someone in her life. Back when she was filming Netflix’s Shadow and Bone, some fans were convinced that she was dating the actor that played her onscreen love interest, Calahan Skogman, but the stars never confirmed the rumors.
Ann Skelly
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans will likely recognize Ann Skelly‘s significant other, Iain De Caestecker. They’ve been in a relationship for a few years. Although they haven’t publicly spoken about each other, they have been spotted together as far back as 2022. De Caestecker joined his partner at the House of Guinness London premiere, posing for photos together on the red carpet.
