Meet the ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Cast’s Real-Life Loves
Decades after the original 1974 adaptation came out, Netflix has reimagined Little House on the Prairie. Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s famous semi-autobiographical book of the same name, the new take once again follows the Ingalls family — father Charles (Luke Bracey), mother Caroline (Crosby Fitzgerald), and their daughters — and the people who come into their lives as they settle on the 1870s frontier.
Though it’s primarily a family drama and survival tale, Little House on the Prairie isn’t without romance. Luke Bracey
The one we’re sure that many of you have been wondering about. Charles Ingalls actor Luke Bracey is believed to be single. He’s been briefly linked to Glee star Dianna Agron and actress Olympia Valance in the past. Most recently, Bracey was spotted kissing Eiza González in 2019, according to Popsugar.
Warren Christie
Warren Christie, best known for Hallmark movies before starring as LHOP‘s John Edwards, is married. He wed Canadian actress Sonya Salomaa in 2007. Their son, Cash, was born two years later. Christie keeps his relationship and family life fairly private, though he shared his pride for his son when he made his Western Hockey League debut earlier this year.
Alyssa Wapanatâhk
Alyssa Wapanatâhk, who appears as White Sun in Season 1, has a daughter, Wapi. Not much is known about her family life — she doesn’t share photos of her family on her social media often — but the actress and Dylan Gidlow were pictured together attending the 2023 premiere of Wapanatâhk’s Peter Pan & Wendy.
Barrett Doss
Barrett Doss plays general store worker Emily in LHOP, and though the character is unmarried when we meet her, the same can’t be said for the actress. She’s been in a relationship with fellow stage and screen actor Austin Durant since 2017. Per Durant’s IMDb profile — he’s appeared in Succession, The Good Fight, Elementary, and more — the couple is married.
Mary Holland
Mary Holland, who plays town busybody Jemma James, is married to fellow actor and comedian Matt Newell. They’ve been together since at least 2017, and they welcomed a child in 2024.
Crosby Fitzgerald
Caroline Ingalls (aka Ma) is deeply in love with her husband, but actress Crosby Fitzgerald‘s relationship status is unclear. She hasn’t discussed her love life publicly, but on June 6, she shared some photos of herself looking cozy with a mystery man. She didn’t tag him on Instagram.
Jocko Sims
Jocko Sims, who plays town doctor Mr. Tann, seems to be single. There’s no sign of a significant other on his Instagram, and he hasn’t mentioned dating anyone publicly.
Meegwun Fairbrother
When we meet Mitchell in LHOP, the Osage native is married to White Sun. Meegwun Fairbrother is also married, according to a 2021 Pop Culturalist interview in which he mentions his wife. Though he didn’t refer to her by name, she appears to be actor Sarah Koehn.
“Happy 9 years to my person!” she wrote on Instagram in 2022, underneath a photo of her and Fairbrother. “It’s been wild and it’s felt like at least three different lifetimes. Ready for the next! Happy to be on this road with you.”
