The Met Gala is fashion’s biggest night, and it’s also an opportunity for celebrity couples to turn this stylish event into a date night. Every year, celebrities score exclusive invites to the esteemed New York City gala, and many bring along a plus one.
The dress code for this year’s Met Gala is “Tailored for You,” which honors The Costume Institute’s exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” According to The Met, the exhibit “explores the importance of style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora, particularly in the United States and Europe.”
With co-chairs like Pharrell Williams and A$AP Rocky, their significant others were bound to join them on the carpet. A$AP Rocky and Rihanna notably made their Met Gala debut in 2021.
There will be red (or in this case, blue) carpet couple debuts and likely some PDA. Just like you can never truly predict what someone will wear to the Met Gala, you can’t predict the couples who will become showstoppers on the steps of The Met.
