See Penn Badgley Sweep Meghann Fahy Off Her Feet in New Rom-Com Set Photos

I think we all deserve a new look at Meghann Fahy and Penn Badgley’s new rom-com! You Deserve Each Other, which is based on Sarah Hogle’s 2020 novel of the same name, returned to the streets of New York City in May 2026, following an initial production wrap last summer.

Though The White Lotus‘ Fahy and You‘s Badgley play an engaged couple who can’t stand each other, the scenes they shot on May 5 look pretty swoonworthy to us. In one photo, they sit on a Halloween-decorated stoop dressed as The Royal Tenenbaums’ Richie (Luke Wilson) and Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow). Not really the greatest example of a romance, obviously, but a solid couple’s costume. Fahy’s got Margot’s iconic fur coat, and Badgley’s rocking a shoulder-length wig.

In another snapshot, Badgley has a smiling Fahy in his arms at the bottom of a brownstone stoop. They’re totally selling that they’re head-over-heels in love — which is a far cry from where their characters’ story starts. Naomi (Fahy) and Nick (Badgley) are soon to be married, but since they’ve grown to hate each other, they set out to get the other person to call off the wedding. Whoever ends their relationship is stuck with the bill, so they engage in sabotage, pranks, and emotional warfare to make the other break. As the battle wages on, they find themselves falling back in love with each other.

You Deserve Each Other, which is directed by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn (Never Been Kissed), doesn’t yet have a release date, but at least we have these photos to tide us over!
