‘Bridgerton’ Season 5: Everything We Know About Francesca & Michaela’s Love Story So Far

Bridgerton is eyeing its Season 5 return as Netflix revealed that the latest chapter of the Shondaland hit will officially return in 2027.

After Season 4 told Benedict and Sophie’s love story, the Regency romance is shifting its spotlight to Francesca (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza). Based on Julia Quinn’s novels, Bridgerton has already started filming its fifth season, and on May 13, Netflix revealed at its upfront presentation that the show will be back in the new year. Though Netflix has already hinted that Bridgerton will venture to the Scottish countryside in Season 5, it’ll also see Francesca return to London to reenter the marriage mart. Her reasoning is practical, but when her late husband’s cousin, Michaela, returns, it complicates Francesca’s resolve.
