‘Outlander’ Series Finale: Claire & Jamie Share an Emotional Kiss in Photos
Outlander‘s series finale, “And the World Was All Around Us,” is almost here, and Starz has unveiled a first look at the last episode ahead of it airing on Friday, May 15.
As viewers know, the Frasers were preparing for the battle at Kings Mountain, which was teased in Frank’s (Tobias Menzies) book that was brought back from the future by Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin) when they reunited with Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) at the start of Season 8. While Frank’s book claims that Jamie will die in the coming battle, the question still looms large over the Frasers, who know that history has a funny way of shaking out.
The logline for the finale hints, “Jamie and Claire must protect the home that they’ve made and trust in the love that binds them.” Could this spell the end for the time-traversing lovers? Meeting in the 1740s, Claire encountered Jamie after she traveled through time, leaving behind her life as a World War II nurse to become entangled in his 18th-century Highlander world.
