‘Bachelor in Paradise’s Blake Horstmann Engaged to ‘Love Is Blind’s Giannina Gibelli
It finally happened, Blake Horstmann and Giannina Gibelli are engaged! This will mark the first Bachelor in Paradise and Love Is Blind wedding!
Horstmann and Gibelli have been together since 2021, and now they’re headed down the aisle. Both rose to fame through reality TV dating programs. Blake was a contestant on Season 14 of The Bachelorette and appeared on Bachelor in Paradise, while Gibelli became a Netflix star after trying to find love in Love Is Blind Season 1.
The couple met on the set of All Star Shore and quickly fell in love. They were already bonded for life with the addition of their baby boy, Heath Orion. Now, Horstmann is taking the next step. He popped the question in Madrid on October 30.
After traveling around Europe, the 35-year-old went down on one knee. Before he was even able to open the box, Gibelli was ready to give her answer, which was a resounding “yes.”
“Our love story has been everything I’ve always dreamt it would be and more,” she shared to PEOPLE. “As soon as I met Blake, I knew he was my soulmate and I know the universe was always leading me to him. Being together forever and creating our family is literally the joy of my life.”
The 31-year-old entrepreneur was also happy about the ring that Horstmann had picked out for her. This was no surprise as it took him over a year to find the right fit. “I had an idea of what she wanted — cut, clarity, etc,” he said. “But I didn’t want to go and pick out a ring with her. I really wanted the ring to be a complete surprise.”
He succeeded. Horstmann recalled, “When she did finally see [the ring], she was breathless and so happy, so that felt really amazing.” The BiP alum also admitted to being “over the moon” and that they “can’t wait to be married in front of our loved ones.”
This joyful news has been long in the making as they first began talking about a possible engagement in 2022. Giannina revealed, “I think the feeling’s mutual, and I would be the happiest person in the entire world, but no rush,” she told E! News at the time.
In 2022, the duo officially moved in together. Just two years later, their son was born.
