‘Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley & ‘After’s Hero Fiennes Tiffin Enter Their Rom-Com Era in ‘Picture This’ (VIDEO)
Simone Ashley and Hero Fiennes Tiffin have been a part of two huge romance franchises, Bridgerton and After, respectively, and now they’ve teamed up for their first-ever rom-com Picture This, now streaming on Prime Video.
The costars jumped at the chance to do something new in the romance universe. Ashley told Swooon that she loved embracing “the comedy aspect of [the movie], and I love rom-coms. I grew up watching them. I love that when you watch them, it kind of gives you that idea that love is possible, and I was so excited to be a part of that kind of world.”
Tiffin added, “The romance I’ve done before has weighed more into the drama side of romance, so I felt like it was only fair to be a part of the other side of the romance coin, which is the comedy aspect of it.”

In Picture This, Ashley plays a struggling photographer named Pia who receives a prediction she’ll find true love and success in the next five dates she goes on. In the midst of her dating quest, she’s also preparing for her sister’s wedding. The lead-up to the nuptials brings Pia face-to-face with her ex, Charlie (Tiffin). Over the course of the film, Pia and Charlie reconnect and feelings resurface.
“I think Charlie grounds Pia,” Ashley said. “He can handle her because she’s pretty wild, and he’s not swayed by her hotheadedness or passion or fieriness. He gets her and can handle her.” On the flip side, Tiffin noted that Charlie needs someone like Pia in his life. “His life can be quite boring because he likes to do the right thing and sometimes that’s the simple thing. I think they balance each other out perfectly,” he explained.
Picture This is the perfect second chance love story. Swooon had to ask Ashley and Tiffin about their other favorite romantic tropes. Ashley is a big fan of the second chance trope and friends to lovers. As for Tiffin, he brought up a crowd favorite: enemies to lovers.
