‘Love Is Blind’ Reunion’s 7 Most Shocking Moments: Jimmy Presnell Drama, a Surprise Engagement & More
The tea was piping hot at the Love Is Blind Season 8 reunion, which aired March 9 on Netflix. After weeks of drama — both onscreen and off — all the notable Season 8 cast members came face-to-face.
We got an update on Daniel Hastings and Taylor Haag’s relationship, the only couple of the season to get married. The other couples who made it to the altar hashed out their relationship woes and shocking revelations came to light. In a jaw-dropping twist, Season 5’s Jimmy Presnell got involved in Sara Carton and Ben Mezzenga‘s drama. Plus, Monica Danus stunned us all with her Joey Leveille reveal.
Below, we’re breaking down the most shocking moments of the reunion special.

1. Daniel has a chest tattoo of Taylor’s eyes
Daniel and Taylor are still going strong one year after their wedding. They’ve had a memorable first year of marriage — and have even bought a house! Daniel hasn’t gotten a lip tattoo to match Taylor, but he says it will happen in the future.
However, Daniel revealed that he’s gotten a huge tattoo of Taylor’s eyes on his chest! He unbuttoned his shirt to show off the tattoo of his wife. Talk about being dedicated to your girl.
2. Virginia reveals Devin’s check secret
Virginia Miller addressed why she rejected Devin Buckley at the altar. While she was “emotionally there” with Devin, Virginia said they were “not in alignment on some really important things.” She stressed that she supports the LGBTQ+ community, a woman’s right to choose, and different religions.
The day before the wedding, Virginia found a note from Devin’s ex-girlfriend on his nightstand, which “created a little distrust.” Devin explained that his ex is one of his best friends, and the person his ex is with now was part of the wedding group.
Virginia also brought up a $1,000 check that Devin’s mom received as a wedding present for Virginia and Devin. Devin’s mom mentioned the check to Virginia, but Devin never talked about it. She never saw the check. Devin said that he was planning to discuss the check after they were married. (Sure, Jan.)
Virginia claimed that Devin didn’t answer her phone calls after the wedding. “He stopped talking to me completely after the wedding,” Virginia said, before noting that Devin has gone around telling everyone that she ghosted him.
3. Sara and Ben were still together after the wedding
Even though it seemed like Sara was done with Ben after their almost wedding, Sara “still had hope” that they would be able to work things out. They were living together for close to a week or two after the wedding and discussed Ben coming to Nashville with her to finish out her travel nurse contract for “two weeks up to two months.”
When she got to Nashville, Ben had removed her from Find My Friends. Sara said she didn’t hear from him for a month and a half after that. “My understanding was that we were broken up when she left,” Ben said before claiming that Sara ghosted him.
She later learned that a past cast member, Season 5’s Jimmy, reached out to Ben and told him to be on good terms with Sara and “practice” reunion questions. Jimmy, stay out of the drama!
4. Joey slid into Madison’s DMs
The twist we didn’t see coming. Monica revealed that Joey reached out to Madison Errichiello after he saw her at the pod squad tubing excursion — and this was while they were still engaged. The DMs were harmless, according to Joey. He was just trying to be friendly.
Monica claimed that Joey told her that Madison was coming on to him at bars after the wedding. Monica later confronted Madison about the Joey situation. Madison denied Joey’s claim. “I always felt very platonic towards Joey,” Madison told the room.
Joey made it clear after that: “I have no interest in Madison.”
5. Dave regrets losing Lauren
Unsurprisingly, Dave Bettenburg had to discuss his breakup with Lauren O’Brien. He admitted that he “absolutely” regretted listening to what he was hearing from Lauren’s ex through friends. When asked whether or not Lauren is the one who got away, he said, “I do… I think about it all the time.” Lauren responded, “I just don’t fully believe it.” In her eyes, Dave’s “made no effort to show that in any capacity.”
6. Meg and Mason are not together
Meg Fink and Mason Horacek did meet up outside of the pods and started dating. They dated on and off for the past year, but they’ve decided they’re better off as “best friends.” Mason couldn’t stop raving over Meg. “I don’t know what I’d do without you,” he said about Meg.
7. AD Smith & Love Is Blind UK’s Ollie Isaac are engaged
There have been rumors for months about Season 6’s AD Smith and Love Is Blind UK’s Ollie Isaac. They confirmed their relationship (and Perfect Match’s Season 3 return) during the Season 8 reunion. But that’s not all! AD and Ollie are officially engaged, and viewers were treated to a video of their romantic beach engagement. We’ll get to see their relationship play out on Perfect Match.
AD was previously engaged to Clay Gravesande, while Ollie was engaged to Demi Brown.
