‘Love Is Blind’s Jimmy Presnell Breaks Silence on Ben Mezzenga & Sara Carton Reunion Drama
Love Is Blind Season 5 alum Jimmy Presnell got thrown in the midst of Ben Mezzenga and Sara Carton‘s confrontation at the Season 8 reunion special on March 9. During the sit-down, Sara said that Jimmy had reached out to Ben and told him to be on good terms with her before the reunion. She also claimed that Jimmy told Ben to “practice” reunion questions with her.
Less than a day after the reunion aired, Jimmy is now speaking out to provide some “clarity” about his involvement with the Ben and Sara drama.
Jimmy said he was connected to Ben in May 2024 after Ben finished filming, which Jimmy noted is “pretty standard protocol.” He was put in touch with people from past seasons during his run on the hit Netflix series.

“It’s solely to help them navigate that period of time where you probably have a ton of anxiety waiting for your season to air to see how you’ll be portrayed,” Jimmy explained. The Season 5 alum admitted that he feels “slighted” that he’s being “pointed out for giving bad advice.” Jimmy stressed that he was just a sounding board for Ben.
Jimmy went on to say that Ben was “very anxious” about the reunion. “The advice I gave was pretty simple, like, ‘Yeah, just enjoy the moment, enjoy the ride, and don’t sweat it until that time comes.'”
Despite getting caught up in the drama, he’s got no bad blood against Sara and Ben. He continued, “I’m not mad at them. I think it’s TV, and both of their backs were against the wall. He probably trusted her telling her my conversations with them, and she either misconstrued that information or that’s just a total lie because her back was against the wall. Why would I tell them to come together to rehearse reunion questions? I definitely didn’t say that, but I do think that is great advice to see what the internet has to say and then come prepared to the reunion.”
