‘Love Is Blind’s Joey Leveille Finally Breaks Silence on Sara Carton Dating Rumors
Love Is Blind Season 8 was lauded to be the most boring one out of the line-up, according to fans. Now, the tide seems to be turning. The hit show is no longer releasing new episodes, but there’s new drama coming out of the woodwork every single day.
From Ben Mezzenga‘s conversation with Season 6 alum Jimmy Presnell to Daniel Hastings’ wild tattoo, the Minnesota residents continue to raise eyebrows. However, there’s one piece of information everyone is salivating over even more — the rumored relationship between Season 8 stars Sara Carton and Joey Leveille. The two were originally engaged to other people in the series, but now there’s a lot of speculation that they’re dating.
Speaking to the Curious Crossroads podcast he brought up his relationship status. “Sara and I just have become close,” he said. “We’ve been like really good friends, really supportive, you kind of lean on each other a lot during this ’cause it’s intense. It is, like, a lot. There’s a lot of emotions that go behind it, so I would say in the last month or so her and I became really close.”
That’s where the limitations of his relationship with Sara end, according to Joey. But, that’s not to say that the two haven’t debated whether or not they should give their connection a proper go. The 36-year-old explained, “We kind of discussed if there could be any potential there, any interest there, and ultimately we just decided, ‘I don’t think either of us are in the capacity to do that right now,’ and so we’re kind of remaining this really close support system for each other.”
Sara and Joey are in alignment about their relationship. Hopping on The Viall Files earlier this month, she divulged, “We’re definitely not dating.”
However, there’s one person who is questioning Joey and Sara: Monica Danús, Joey’s ex-fiancée from Love Is Blind.
“I’m so sick of the lies. Just own up to it at this point,” she recently told Elite Daily. She shared that she went right to the source and texted Sara, “‘I’m hearing a lot of things about you and Joey. Is there anything you need to tell me?’ And she called me and said, ‘Nothing’s official, but we are seeing each other.’ She said they didn’t want to make anything official until any online hate dies down.”
Monica added, “She told me this started a month ago, so that’s at least two months ago now. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was longer. All this time when I was venting to her about Joey, and she was saying she had my back, she was actually with him.” She added, “It’s a betrayal, and it’s very hurtful.”
Not speaking highly of her former fiancé, she said, “It’s no surprise from Joey—I don’t think very highly of him, and I don’t want him in my life. But I’m hurt that Sara would do this to me.”
