‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8’s Monica Danús & Ben Mezzenga Fuel Dating Rumors
Love Is Blind Season 8 has been the season of plot twists. The show has been over for weeks, but the cast continues to keep us on the edge of our seats.
In the wake of Sara Carton and Joey Leveille’s rumored romance and the drama surrounding that situation, another possible couple has emerged. Monica Danús and Ben Mezzenga, who happen to be Carton and Leveille’s exes, are stirring up speculation that they are now dating.

Danús first posted a video with Mezzenga on her Instagram and TikTok accounts, which included them sharing drinks while in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. They both shared a fun video by the pool, and fans flooded the comments with questions about their relationship status. One fan asked, “Does anyone know if they are a couple?” Danús responded directly with the eyes emoji.
Another fan commented, “Yall are actually super cute.” Danús replied with several heart emojis. The Season 8 star also shared photos and videos from her night out at Glitch Bar with Mezzenga. Danús also “liked” a fan asking, “Is this a lil exes swap-a-roo.”
Danús told Swooon that she’s become friends with Mezzenga post-Love Is Blind. She was the one who told Mezzenga about Carton and Leveille’s relationship.
“I knew if nobody told me, no one was telling him, so I thought he had a right to know because it’s part of his life, too,” she explained. “It was really hard for me to hear, so I’m sure it was going to be hard for him to hear, and the timing of it was three days before we all had to be in Austin together, so I didn’t want him to hear something through the grapevine when we’re at this event. That would be horrible.”
Mezzenga “didn’t know specifically that they were together” but had heard rumors. “He was shocked and upset as well,” she continued. “But we’ve connected. We are friends. We’ve been good, but we have been supporting each other just because we’re kind of in the same boat.”
Since Love Is Blind Season 8 ended, there have been a number of relationship developments. In addition to the Carton and Leveille news (and now possibly Danús and Mezzenga), Meg Fink and Mason Horacek got back together after previously splitting up. They had initially connected in the pods and told the world they had decided to be just friends at the reunion before deciding to give their romance another go.
