Who is Thorsten Kaye’s wife?
Thorsten Kaye is married to Susan Haskell. It’s unclear when exactly they wed, but the actor has stressed that he and Haskell are husband and wife. “People always call [Susan] my life partner, but Susan is my wife. We were actually married. I’m not a church guy, but we did a thing on the beach a while back. I don’t talk about it because I’m just a private guy,” he told Soap Opera Digest in 2018.

How did Thorsten Kaye and Susan Haskell meet?
Thorsten Kaye and Susan Haskell met on the set of One Life to Live. Kaye joined the ABC soap in 1995 as Patrick Thornhart. Haskell was already playing the role of Marty Saybrooke at the time. Patrick and Marty became onscreen love interests.

When Kaye joined the General Hospital spinoff Port Charles as Ian Thornhart, Patrick’s older brother, Haskell would appear as Granya Thornton, Patrick and Ian’s sister, in 2001. Haskell hasn’t been seen onscreen since 2006. Kaye opened up about how he hopes his wife will return to acting in the future.
“She gave me two beautiful kids and many years of her life that should have been spent being an actor,” the B&B actor told Woman’s World. “She’s really a wonderful actor. Right now, her life’s work is raising two amazing human beings, but I don’t think she SHOULD do more acting—she NEEDS to do more!”
He added, “The tough thing about being a female in the world of television is that for some reason, people think that when you’re 28, it’s done. You don’t see 50-year-olds and 60-year-olds driving story. That’s changing now, and I’m glad.”
Does Thorsten Kaye have any kids?
Yes, the actor and his wife have two kids. Their first child, daughter McKenna, was born in February 2003. Their second daughter, Marlowe, was born in January 2007.
McKenna joined her dad at the 2024 Daytime Emmys. In his acceptance speech, he sweetly said being a “dad is the greatest honor of my life.” McKenna could be seen crying in the audience.
Even though The Bold and the Beautiful films in Los Angeles, Kaye’s permanent residence is in Connecticut. He flies back and forth from Connecticut and Los Angeles in order to be with his family. Kaye and Haskell will soon be empty nesters. Once their daughters are settled into their lives post-high school, Kaye told Soaps.com that he hopes “Susan will get back to acting, because she only gets more interesting as a person.” The soap vet gushed that he’d “love” to work with his wife onscreen again.
