Jelly Roll & Bunnie Xo Divorcing After 10 Years of Marriage: The Latest Updates
When Jelly Roll blew up as a huge star on the country music scene, he was already married to wife Alyssa DeFord, better known as Bunnie Xo. The two have been extremely open about the ups and downs in their relationship over the years, though.
In October 2025, Jelly Roll dropped a bombshell confession about previously having an affair while married to Bunnie. They were able to get through it and seemed to be going strong by the time he took the stage to accept an award at the 2026 Grammys, giving his wife a shout-out in his acceptance speech.
But just four months later, things have taken a turn in the relationship. Scroll down for everything we know about where the two stand now.
Are Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo still together?
No, Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo are no longer together. Although they got through the affair, Jelly filed for divorce in May 2026. TMZ was first to report the news a few weeks later on June 15.
The split news came as a shock to fans, especially since Bunnie publicly stood by her now-estranged husband after he came clean about being unfaithful. She replied to a fan on social media who told her to “hop away” from the “Son of a Sinner” singer.
“It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves — instead of running or gossiping,” she wrote. “Growth isn’t weakness, it’s grace. But not everyone’s built for that kind of strength. I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you’re judging another woman’s life.”
It’s unclear what led to Jelly Roll’s divorce filing.
Do Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have an open relationship?
No, Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo do not have an open marriage. The podcast host addressed those rumors herself in June 2025.
“You guys are clipping clips from, like, six years ago. There was a clip that went around [where I] said, ‘If I want to sleep with other men I can.’ And people have just ran with this clip for years,” she began. “I know that I’ve addressed me and my husband’s situation. I don’t understand what part of ‘we are not in an open relationship’ that people cannot comprehend.”

She further clarified the situation, adding, “The only thing that we don’t do, though, is try to control the other person. If I want to go sleep with another man, he’s not going to be like, ‘No, you’re mine.’ You can’t do that to people. The same thing if there was another woman.”
However, she made it clear that this isn’t where their relationship is at today. “This was all in the past. We’ve completely stopped all of those shenanigans because you can’t trust anybody in the world. Back in the day, that was how we looked at our relationship. We don’t want to tell each other what we can and can’t do. We have free will. That’s a huge difference than having an open relationship.”
Bunnie also noted that “we are both Christians. We love Jesus. And that’s why we have changed the uniform of our relationship. It was never open for us to have to close it.”
Do Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have kids?
Jelly and Bunnie do not have any children together, but she is a mother figure to his two children from previous relationships. Jelly’s daughter, Bailee, was born in May 2008, followed by son Noah in August 2016.

“Somebody said the other day, they’re like, ‘They used to always be together. Now you never see them together.’ I’m like, do you guys not know for the past six months I’ve been trying to make a baby?” Bunnie shared on her podcast in August. She added that she’s been “going through heartbreak” and “so much s***” while trying to get pregnant.
Two months earlier, she revealed on Instagram that she received a positive phone call from her doctor, but did not specify what the news was. “This is not a pregnancy announcement – we won’t announce that,” she added. “This is just a huge win for us 🙏🏻.”
They began their IVF journey in the spring of 2024. In February 2026, Bunnie Xo revealed in her memoir that she and Jelly had found a surrogate and were exploring that option as a way to have twins.
