‘Love Me Love Me’: All About Prime Video’s Wattpad Romance Adaptation

Maxton Hall fans, we think we’ve just discovered your next private school, rivals-to-lovers romance fix. Prime Video will soon release Love Me Love Me to the world, which is bound to fill the RubyJames void — at least somewhat — until the streamer drops Maxton Hall Season 3. It’s even got a love interest named James!

Like Maxton Hall, you can expect plenty of romantic angst to play out in Love Me Love Me, though it gives its main character two love interests rather than one. Based on a Wattpad story, the Italian movie will see June (Disney Channel alum Mia Jenkins) torn between two best friends: a troubled MMA fighter and an honor student. What is Love Me Love Me about?

June moves to Milan after her brother’s death to enroll at an elite international school. There, she strikes up a relationship with the school’s golden boy, Will, who gives some stability to her life. His best friend, James, is the total opposite. A rivalry forms between June and James, who’s charismatic yet dangerous and secretly participating in MMA fights. When their tension evolves into attraction, June has to come to terms with what she wants.

The story comes from Love Me, Love Me, a popular Wattpad tetralogy by Stefania S. The series has since been published in novel form, with the first book already out in English and the next one to follow in March. The first book is currently still up on Wattpad.

Who’s in the Love Me Love Me cast?

Jenkins leads the film as June. Spanish soccer player-turned actor Pepe Barroso Silva (Those About to Die) stars opposite her as James, and Italian actor Luca Melucci plays Will. Maxton Hall actress Andrea Guo will appear alongside them, as will Michelangelo Vizzini, Madior Fall, and Vanessa Donghi.
