‘Love Is Blind’: Bri & Connor Break Down Chris’ Shocking Turn After Jessica Split

While the first batch of Love Is Blind Season 10 episodes hinted at unfinished business between Brianna “Bri” McNees and Chris Fusco, this was one Pod Squad switch-up we never saw coming. Now, Bri and Connor Spies are letting viewers in on what really went down at the Pod Squad get-together.
During Episode 8 of Season 10, Chris’s fiancée, Jessica Barrett, called their relationship quits after he told her, “I feel like [our physical connection] is super boring… Like, for me, just to be totally honest, and without sounding like a f**king d**khead, I don’t know how to say it. In the normal world, I date people who f**king do, like, CrossFit and sh*t.” Soon after, Chris was proudly pursuing Bri in front of the rest of the cast at a bowling event, despite knowing that she was happily engaged to Connor.
Sitting down with Swooon to discuss his time on Love Is Blind, Connor revealed, “I had no idea. I did not know what [Bri and Chris] were talking about at the bowling alley. I was just kinda hitting strikes and drinking with the boys, hanging out, having a good time.”
Similarly, when asked about Chris sliding into her DMs, Bri told Swooon, “I absolutely did not expect that. And I will say that this man was priding himself that he did not have social media in the pods.” According to Bri, when she got a notification that Chris tried to follow her, she thought it was a bot.
“Then I got the DM, and I was like, ‘Okay, hey there.’ It was literally like nothing to really engage with. I’m like, what do I do with this?”
Looking back at their time in the pods, Bri revealed that Chris’s intentions took her by surprise as well. She told Swooon, “I don’t think I could have been more clear, being like, ‘I have a stronger connection. I think we need to stop dating.'” At the time, he agreed, telling her that he had a stronger connection with Jess. She explained, “I think we leave the pods as friends. I think that friendship continues in Cabo,” which is why she was so taken aback when he started pursuing her romantically again.
Recalling their time at the bowling alley, Bri explained, “He’s venting to me, Priyanka, and Ashley as friends and then it kind of switches into this more intimate conversation that he wants to have with me, which catches me off guard because, like I said, I felt like it was extremely defined in those moments in Cabo and in the pods, and so the flip of the switch was not only felt by just me but the group and Jess.”
On the other hand, Connor just assumed Chris needed to “get some stuff off his chest,” adding, “[Bri’s] a great listener.” As it turns out, Connor wasn’t concerned at all. “I know I trust Bri 100%, so that’s why I was also not worried. I wasn’t trying to sneak over there, see what the heck they were talking about.”
As Bri put it, “It was shocking all around.”
