If Love Is Blind Season 10’s first engaged couple split wasn’t shocking enough, Chris Fusco appears to be quickly pivoting towards his other Pod Squad connection.
In the pods, Chris fell for both Jessica Barrett and Brianna “Bri” McNees. However, he ultimately broke things off with Bri to propose to Jess sight unseen. At the time, he told her, “I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else.” Similarly, Jess told viewers on their first night in Cabo, “I hope to be with Chris forever… This is the first night of hopefully thousands.”

Are Chris Fusco and Jessica Barrett still together?
No, Chris and Jessica are no longer together. The duo got engaged during Episode 4 of Love Is Blind Season 10. At the time, Chris emphasized the finality of his choice of Jess over Bri, going as far as to say, “I would never ever want you to pick me because I picked you.” After he proposed, Chris and Jess held hands through the wall, with him telling her, “I think I felt that.”
Meeting face-to-face, Chris told her, “I love you, oh my God. You look amazing. Like, you literally look amazing.” Perhaps that’s why Chris’s sudden lack of attraction to Jess was so unexpected.

Why did Chris Fusco and Jessica Barrett break up?
Chris and Jess broke up after Chris revealed that he was not attracted to Jess and had been thinking about what life would be like if he had chosen Bri instead. At the end of Episode 8, Jess confronted Chris about his lack of transparency. Then, the conversation spiraled into Chris telling Jess that he’s not attracted to her because he usually dates women who do Pilates.
He told her, “I feel like [our physical connection] is super boring… Like, for me, just to be totally honest, and without sounding like a f**king d**khead, I don’t know how to say it. In the normal world, I date people who f**king do, like, CrossFit and sh*t.” Digging a deeper hole, he described the people he would usually date as, “Somebody who works out all the time and, like, has, like, a different type of… It’s just, like, somebody who does f**king Pilates every day.” According to him, it’s hard for him to be into their physical connection for this reason.
Chris then proceeded to tell Jess that he had been thinking about Bri for the past couple of days. He explained, “I have not talked to this person, but like, over the last two days I’ve been thinking about, like, what it would be like if I was with that person, too.” Naturally, Jess responded, “All of these things are really hard to hear.”

After telling Jess that she wasn’t doing it for him physically and that he had been thinking about another woman, Chris was taken aback when Jess told him she didn’t know how to continue their relationship. She told him, “Honestly, the fact that me not working out every day is even a sentence that even came up in this conversation is blowing my mind.” Ultimately, it was Jess who called things off, and we don’t blame her.
Defending his comments, Chris told viewers, “When people want to fornicate, or have sex, it might not be a big deal to a lot of people… I get it, when you’re 90 years old, everyone’s not gonna look good. I get it. But I’m not 90.” He then quickly shifted his focus to Bri, arguing, “Maybe that’s someone I would be more attracted to.”

Since Chris seemingly wanted to continue to be with Jess despite everything he told her, it was shocking to see him pursue his second connection. Still, Chris, who did not have an Instagram before his time in the pods, slid into Bri’s DMs after their split, even though she was engaged to Connor Spies.
At the bowling alley Pod Squad get-together, Chris told someone off camera, “Dude, Bri is so hot! I saw Bri, and I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m into her.’ Now, I wanna talk to her. And Connor, I don’t care.” He later told Bri, “I like Connor, but he’s very submissive. I could have turned up the notch with you, and Connor wouldn’t be in existence. I see it in the real world, and I’m like, ‘F**k, I f**ked up.'”
