‘Off Campus’ A Guide to Garrett & Hannah’s Hottest Scenes Before Season 1

Prime Video’s Off Campus is almost here, and if it’s anything like the book series it’s based on, viewers are in for some serious steam. Those familiar with Elle Kennedy’s fictional universe already know that her Briar U hockey players bring the heat, including her OG leading man and star captain, Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli). He earns a reputation as a… shall we say, experienced ladies’ man before he starts fake-dating music major Hannah (Ella Bright).

Showrunner Louisa Levy has already assured fans that the adaptation will be just as steamy as Kennedy’s The Deal. “There’s something really unique and special about college-age romances where it’s not really that first love kind of vibe, it is something potentially more, and you’re still discovering so much about yourself,” she told EW. “It’s more mature and sexier than high school. These characters are so sex-positive, especially in the first book, which is the tentpole of our first season. It’s this really deep romance that also has nuances of exploring who you are in the bedroom.”

The Off Campus boss also confirmed that they aimed to include as many moments from the book as possible in Season 1, so there’s a good chance most of Garrett and Hannah’s spicy moments will play out on screen. Chapter 16

Technically, things heat up as early as Chapter 2 when Garrett gets a handjob from one of his regular hookups, but that’s neither here nor there. Hannah is the star of the show here! Things get hot and heavy between her and Garrett a little under halfway through the book. When Garrett dares Hannah to kiss him in private — they’ve already done it for show in public — she turns him down instantly. But Hannah isn’t one to back down from a challenge. It goes from zero to 100 the second they lock lips, but Dean’s (Stephen Kalyn) arrival cuts the moment short.

Hannah comes up with the excuse that Garrett is helping her brush up on kissing. Dean being Dean, he asks Hannah to show him her moves, too. Since Hannah is an absolute icon, she does exactly that. Obviously, compared to Garrett, Dean’s kiss doesn’t have that extra oomph. He has zero effect on her. D-man, on the other hand, is totally stunned by Hannah’s skills. It bears repeating: Hannah is iconic.

Chapter 24

By the halfway mark, Hannah and Garrett have started opening up to each other during their study sessions. After Garrett takes Hannah home from a night out, she tries to seduce him, but he shuts it down. Hannah falls asleep in his bed, and the next morning, she asks Garrett to have sex with her. Suspecting something’s up, Garrett turns her down again, asking Hannah to be honest about what’s really going on.

She does. Hannah’s attracted to Garrett, but she also wants him to help her get comfortable with sex, no strings attached. Hannah tells Garrett that she was drugged and sexually assaulted when she was 15. Ever since, she hasn’t been able to finish with guys, and she thinks Garrett might be able to help. She cries in his arms and claims that she’s broken. Garrett swears that she isn’t, and when she asks him to help her prove it, he agrees to make a plan.

He fulfills his promise two chapters later in Chapter 24. Garrett pores over the details, wanting to make it perfect for Hannah. She’s just as nervous, but they start off slow. Garrett puts on a TV show, which Hannah barely pays attention to. Before long, the makeout session starts, and Hannah realizes she’s never felt so aroused. After a brief interlude in which Hannah comments on Garrett’s “man monster” — he finds it hilarious and flattering —they get back to business.

As they use their hands on each other, Hannah finds her arousal waning every time she becomes too aware of Garrett’s eyes on her. Garrett, picking up on it, takes a break to have a conversation about how important trust is to having sex. He has the stellar idea that they watch each other get themselves off. That way, they’ll be vulnerable together. The chapter ends with Garrett getting started, while Hannah takes off the rest of her clothes.

Chapter 25

Picking up where Chapter 24 left off, the next one sees Hannah and Garrett let down their guards. Hannah encourages Garrett to start talking, and he doesn’t need to be told twice. Garrett struggles not to blow his load too quickly as he watches Hannah touch herself on his bed. Hannah’s dirty talk gets Garrett closer to the edge, but it’s the sight of Hannah coming — and the sound of her crying his name — that gets him there.

Hannah wants to go all the way afterward, but Garrett thinks it’s better that they take it slow. Garrett wonders if he’s insane for turning her down, and muses that all he wants is for Hannah to smile at him again. (Swoon.)

Chapter 27

Hannah’s nerves are gone the next time they hook up. Back at Garrett’s place, the two of them engage in some foreplay before Garrett puts his mouth to work. Hannah struggles to stay quiet — Garrett’s roommate is home — while he goes down on her. Garrett makes it his personal mission to make her come just from that, and Garrett is nothing if not determined. Someone else giving her an orgasm for the first time makes Hannah burst into happy tears.

Eager to return the favor, Hannah goes down on Garrett. He falls apart so fast that it does wonders for her ego. When it’s all said and done, Hannah wonders if they’re going to fully do the deed, but Garrett insists on baby steps again. Hannah even gives in to his request to call him a sex god, but Garrett doesn’t budge. He has to leave for practice, anyway, but he lets her stay in his room while he’s gone. Garrett Graham, ever the gentleman.

Chapter 29

Hannah and Garrett spend most of Halloween night having, as Garrett puts it, the “most depressing content known to man.” After Hannah recalls the trial, which saw her rapist get off scot free, Garrett tells her that his father hit him for the first time on Halloween, back when he was 12.

Hannah determines that the best way to forget a bad memory is to replace it with a good one, so she takes the night in a steamier direction. She goes down on Garrett, who, before long, remembers that they’re in the living room of his house. His roommates could be home at any second, and Garrett’s into a lot of things, but not exhibitionism.

Garrett leaves the light off when they get to his room, knowing how Hannah feels about having eyes on her. Before they get too far, Garrett confesses how much he likes her. They go all the way for the first time with Hannah on top, at Garrett’s request. And because they’re them, Garrett immediately (and hilariously) asks Hannah to tell him about her grandmother so he doesn’t finish too fast. Hannah sets a fast pace and comes first. Garrett isn’t far behind. Ahead of round two — which happens off-page — Hannah agrees to go to Garrett’s game.

Chapter 36

After that turning point, quite a bit goes down in the third act. Garrett’s dad, Phil, expects him at Thanksgiving. Now that they’re officially dating, Garrett takes Hannah with him. It goes poorly, to say the least: Not only does Garrett realize that his dad is abusing his new girlfriend, but Phil also deems Hannah a distraction from hockey and demands they break up. Garrett gets Hannah out of dodge — though not before offering to help his dad’s girlfriend.

Hannah calms and comforts her boyfriend on the ride home, but they don’t wait until they get there to get frisky. Garrett pulls over to the side of the road so they can make out. Hannah starts putting her hand to work. Garrett tries to be the voice of reason, but Hannah convinces him that they can be fast. They maneuver into the backseat. Before they get down to it, Hannah and Garrett tell each other, “I love you.” (Nothing like a love confession while you’re hooking up on the side of the road.) Garrett’s no newbie to car sex, but he notes that it’s the first time he’s made love in his car. It’s not totally graceful, but it’s perfect. Even more so because, when it’s all said and done, they realize One Direction’s “Story of My Life” is playing on the stereo. (Hannah’s pick. Not Garrett’s.)

Chapter 37

Car sex is immediately followed up by a hot cold open — Garrett and Hannah trying their hand at a more adventurous sex position. With her ankles on Garrett’s shoulders, Hannah deems herself too inflexible and vetoes the setup. They go back to the missionary, and the rest of the scene is short and sweet (or short and spicy, rather). An invigorated, post-coital Hannah showers Garrett with affection. Logan knocks a little while later, asking them to put their “p’s and v’s away.” (Oh, Logan.)

We’ll warn you now, though, that Chapter 37 is the sexy calm before the angsty storm. They don’t get another sexy time in the remaining nine chapters, but Hannah and Garrett do navigate their way out of troubled waters (otherwise known as Phil Graham). That’s all that matters!
