Amaya Espinal may not have found lasting love in the Love Island USA villa, but the reality star has found a new relationship outside of it. Months after her split from fellow Season 7 winner Bryan Arenales, Amaya shared on social media that she had a new special someone in her life. Though she’s kept many details under wraps, Amaya is opening up about how their romance came to be as Love Island: Beyond the Villa Season 2 airs.
“So I’m currently in a relationship, happily in love,” Amaya previously told Swooon ahead of Season 2’s April 15 premiere. “And you guys will see some bits and pieces on maybe how that story unfolds [in Love Island: Beyond the Villa]. But, yeah, we like to keep that private in that way. But you’ll see just enough, just enough love.”
When Swooon sat down to chat about her collaboration with Corona Sunbrew, Amaya explained how she felt opening up after Love Island and her public breakup. “Yeah, I’m just like, never the type of person to carry any trauma from the past towards the next relationship,” she said. “So with this new journey and finding this new romance, life is all about endless opportunities and positivity. So yeah, I’m currently in a new relationship, and there are a lot of great things going on for me. A lot of big projects, especially this project right now with Corona Sunbrew. So, I mean, look around: There’s nothing for me to complain about. Man, life is good.”

Who is Amaya Espinal’s boyfriend?
Amaya hasn’t yet shared her boyfriend’s name, though they have appeared in public together and in a few Instagram posts. On Valentine’s Day, Amaya brought him to the LaQuan Smith fashion show in New York City, and on the eve of Beyond the Villa‘s premiere, he appeared on her Instagram Stories, per Reddit. They seemed to be on a romantic getaway together.
As of April 2026, though, Amaya and her mystery man have no plans to hard-launch their relationship on social media or share his name. “Currently, no. We are keeping it private, but never a secret,” she explained. “So if you see us, you see us, but it’s not at a point where we have to validate our relationship through social media. It’s not for us.”
How did Amaya and her boyfriend meet?
Amaya has a pre-Love Island history with her new love. “I knew of my current partner even before the show,” Amaya explained. “We did date two years ago, and it didn’t align for us, but we always remained friends. And after this whole Love Island experience, and things didn’t work out for me then, I ran into him. We just reconnected, and it was kind of a romance where it’s like, once we reconnected, I never left his side. That’s like my best friend.”

How long have Amaya and her boyfriend been together?
The first signs of Amaya’s new boyfriend appeared on her social media in February 2026. She posted some photos of the bouquets he gifted her as an early Valentine’s Day gift, which was followed up by a “spa date,” according to an Instagram Story screenshot. For the most part, Amaya has kept her beau’s face out of the frame, though some people were trying to deduce his identity via his tattoos.
“Not everyone trying to hunt down my man with his neck tattoo,” Amaya wrote in a since-deleted comment, according to The Shade Room. “Spoiler — he doesn’t even have an IG so good luck. We don’t date influencers here, we date bosses.”
Beyond the Villa was filmed from November 2025 to January 2026, so if Amaya’s man does show up in Season 2, it could be that their romance started earlier. Stay tuned for updates!
