Turns out, Lisa Rosenberger isn’t the only 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8 star to reveal what she looks like without a wig. Now, Emma Perry is joining the party!
This season of Before the 90 Days, fans got to know Emma, a 27-year-old med-spa office manager (or at least that was her job at the start of the season), who traveled to Morocco to meet her long-distance boyfriend Ziad for the first time IRL. While their relationship didn’t exactly pan out, it is clear that Emma has garnered a massive following from her time on Before the 90 Days and is already rumored to have joined the cast of another fan-favorite 90 Day Fiancé spinoff.
Now that the Season 8 Tell All is here, with Ziad calling out Emma’s wig, fans are more eager than ever to find out what 90 Day star looked like before she adopted her signature long locks. Luckily, Emma’s taken to TikTok to share pictures from her childhood and teenage years before she started wearing a wig.
“I have gotten just an overwhelming amount of questions and comments about my hair and about the fact that I wear a wig,” Emma told her followers. In a TikTok video explaining why she wears a wig, she revealed, “I am biracial, and my dad is Black, my mom is Italian. So my real hair is super short and very curly.” In another video, Emma shared a throwback photo of herself with that curly hair.

Emma then went on to explain that her hair is “very fine,” so it doesn’t “take well to heat [or] dye.” According to Emma, her mom would brush her and twin sister Izzi’s hair, throw it in a ponytail, and send them to school. Below, you can see a photo of Emma and Izzi, compared to her wigged look today. It’s unclear whether Izzi just straightens her hair or chooses to wear a wig today.

According to Emma, she started wearing makeup and experimenting with her look in middle school. From then on, she experimented with dyeing and straightening her hair. Once she hit high school, she started wearing extensions because her hair had never been able to grow beyond her chest, so she could never have “mermaid” or “princess” hair.

After years of dyeing her hair and clipping in heavy extensions, her hair became “extremely damaged.” Ultimately, Emma started noticing bald spots due to her clip-ins and decided it would be healthier to start wearing wigs instead.
So why does Emma wear a wig? She explained, “The most simple answer I can give to that is this is just a style choice. I want my hair to look a certain way. I have a certain look that I want to achieve, and that’s literally it. It’s just a style choice.”
