While Rulla has admitted to her husband’s past indiscretions, she’s remained adamant on the show that he ended things with his mistress by the time filming began. Yes, Rulla and Brian are still together. He was there to support her when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on April 26, and she’s defended their relationship in recent interviews.
“Brian is the person who I’ve known my entire life,” Rulla told Us Weekly. “For any mistakes or misjudgments he’s made, I can honestly tell everyone that he has more than repented his sins.”
She also defended herself for taking Brian back after his affair, noting, “I feel like for a woman with values, it actually makes you a stronger person.”
Of her decision to stay with Brian after his infidelity, Rulla told Parade, “He is a great provider. He is a fun partner. He is an extremely hard worker and a very well-respected foot and ankle surgeon. A wonderful father. He is a lot of fun. He is ultra generous.”
Did Rulla Nehme Pontarelli’s husband have an affair?
Yes, Rulla admitted that her husband had an affair in 2024. She said she found out about the situation in December of that year after getting a phone call from castmate Liz McGraw, who told her that Brian’s mistress had posted (and subsequently deleted) photos with him on Instagram.
“I hung up the phone with her and, you know, turn to Brian, who was at home, and I said, ‘Is there something that you want to tell me before I have to find out from Liz or anybody else?'” Rulla recalled on the RHORI aftershow. “He got a little nervous. A lot nervous. Yeah, and it was a whole thing.”
She revealed that Brian was “downplaying” things at first, but said her husband eventually began “making changes.” Rulla also insisted that the other woman in Brian’s life was “no longer involved” after that, although her costars have said that’s not the case.
“I truly take things day by day,” Rulla told Us Weekly. “I’m on top of things, let’s put it that way.”
