Steve Burton and his wife, Michelle Burton (née Lundstrom), are embracing the brief hiatus that Steve is taking from General Hospital. From traveling to spending time with their kids to date nights, the couple has been making the most of this quality time together.
On May 17, Michelle couldn’t resist sharing a special update with the world. She gushed over her relationship with Steve, which she called the “best kind of love.”
Steve and Michelle celebrated their first anniversary as a married couple on May 17. “The best kind of love. Happiest 1 year anniversary. 5.17.25. Grateful everyday,” Michelle captioned her Instagram post. She also included a video of her and her soap actor husband on vacation in the water. Over the top of the video, she wrote, “The kind of love that heals you, hallelujah / A marriage filled with gentle kindness, hallelujah / The sweetest heart of gold, hallelujah / Laughing with my best friend, hallelujah / Everything we prayed for, hallelujah.”

Michelle’s anniversary post also featured Justin Bieber‘s viral track “EVERYTHING HALLELUJAH.” Fans sent their love to Steve and Michelle in the comments section. The couple said “I do” on May 17, 2025, in Laguna Beach, California. They had a small church ceremony, followed by an oceanfront reception. Steve’s longtime GH costar, Jonathan Jackson, was a groomsman.
Steve is expected to return to the General Hospital set this summer. He recently revealed on his That’s Awesome podcast with Bradford Anderson that he starts filming again as Jason Morgan in June. When he announced his break from the show, Steve noted that he was stepping back because he was “newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time” with his family.
