‘In the City’: Andrea Reveals Why He & Wife Lexi Joined ‘Summer House’ Spinoff

Former Winter House and Summer House star Andrea Denver is back on television for Bravo’s new series In the City, and this time, he has wife Lexi Sundin by his side.
Andrea only stuck around Summer House for one season (Season 6 in 2022) as a main cast member, and although he and then-girlfriend Lexi made a quick appearance in Season 7, this will be the first time they’re in the spotlight as a couple. The model told Swooon that there wasn’t really any hesitation, though, because he and Lexi are so confident in their relationship.
“We’re a team,” he shared. “We love each other. We have a really strong and beautiful bond, and we talked it through. We were on the same page, where we were happy to be there with people we’ve known for years, people we had great memories with.”
Andrea and Lexi came onto the show knowing his former Summer House costars Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Amanda Batula, and Danielle Olivera. “When Lindsay used to date Carl [Radke], we used to do double dates all the time, so we spent a lot of time together,” Andrea explained, adding that new cast members Yvonne Najor and Nick Barber were also part of the crew they previously spent time with.
As for why Andrea was ready to return to reality television after leaving Summer House behind him, he shared, “In the City wasn’t party-oriented like Summer House. [When I left], it didn’t make sense for me and the stage I was at in my life. When Lexi and I got back together, and she gave me the chance to date again, I knew I had to put that lifestyle away for the person I wanted to spend my life with.”
So, while Summer House “didn’t make sense” for him anymore, In the City “was more like our dimension, and doing it with people I’ve known for years felt really comfortable.”
Andrea had a fling with Paige DeSorbo when they filmed Season 1 of Winter House in 2021. He met Lexi after filming ended, but she broke up with him before production began on Summer House that July.
During his time in the Hamptons, though, Andrea realized that Lexi was the person he wanted to be with, and he begged her for another chance. “A miracle happened [and she] gave me the chance to explain myself,” he previously revealed. They ended up getting back together and tied the knot in Italy in 2024.
