After years of highly-publicized (and sometimes volatile) relationships, Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro kept things private with his most recent girlfriend, Kirsten. Although the two were together for three years, he rarely spoke publicly about their romance.

However, the couple made headlines in April when it was revealed that they were briefly involved in a legal matter that stemmed from her calling police to his home in Miami.

So, what exactly happened here? Scroll down for everything on that situation and more.

What happened between Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Kirsten?

Kirsten called police on Ronnie in March to seek help in retrieving her things from his home, according to TMZ. In the police report, the situation was listed as a “domestic dispute.”

Kirsten requested that officers escort her into Ronnie’s home, where she had been living with him “as a family unit.” Her belongings were obtained without issue, and it was agreed that she would return with a moving truck two days later.

“It was at [Ronnie’s] request for her to call the police to ensure that the separation/moving out was peaceful, and because he’s been the recipient of falsehoods in the past and is in a really good place and didn’t want there to be any unnecessary drama,” a rep for Ronnie told TMZ.

Are Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Kirsten still together?

No, Ronnie and Kirsten are no longer together. According to Kirsten, she separated from Ronnie “due to infidelity issues.” His rep also confirmed that Ronnie and Kirsten were in the process of separating at the time of the police call.

Who has custody of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s daughter?

Ronnie was previously arrested for domestic violence in 2021 after an issue involving Jen Harley, his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his daughter, Ariana who was born in 2018.

After Ronnie and Jen split, he received full primary custody of Ariana in 2022. They now share joint legal custody.

Ronnie confirmed the custody status during an episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in 2023. Per court filings obtained by The U.S. Sun, “During the school year, the mother will have custody every second, third, fourth and fifth weekend from Friday at 6 pm until Sunday at 6 pm. Parents have joint legal custody and in the event of a disagreement father shall have tiebreaker authority after making a good faith effort to meet and confer.”

In 2024, Jen told Daily Mail that she and Ronnie were coparenting amicably. “I couldn’t ask for a better situation between us right now,” she admitted, adding that she and Ronnie were talking on the phone almost every day. “Living in the same city now, it’s been a dream to coparent with him.”
