The Welcome to Plathville drama continues on screen and off. In the latest Season 8 episodes, Teegan Nichols shut down Ethan Plath‘s attempts to win her back. Months after filming wrapped, Teegan has shared an update on her relationship status.
“All grace no waist,” Teegan captioned an Instagram carousel posted on May 20. Most of the photos document her family’s trip to New York City, but Welcome to Plathville fans paid the most attention to the ones that showed Teegan with a mystery man. In one photo, he stands behind Teegan, hugging her from behind. In another, she has her arms around his shoulders.
Teegan’s new relationship soft-launch comes after she and Ethan deleted all signs of each other from their respective Instagram accounts in August 2025. They also unfollowed each other around the same time. Their split wasn’t confirmed until the Season 8 premiere on March 31 the following year. “I knew that she was tired of long distance,” Plath explained to producers. “And I kept telling her that I would move to Wisconsin, and I never did. You can only tell someone so many times, ‘I’m going to do this,’ and then you don’t, that it just doesn’t mean anything.”
In an attempt to win her back, Ethan decided to move from Georgia to Teegan’s home state without telling her beforehand. Teegan decided to “friend-zone” the eldest Plath son, and it appears that it’s stuck since filming completed.
So, what do we know about Teegan’s new boyfriend? She has yet to identify the man in the photos. His face is hidden in every shot, so it seems Teegan is opting to keep her new relationship mostly private for now.

After separating from ex-wife Olivia Plath in 2023, Ethan started dating single mom Teegan in January 2025, revealing their relationship on Instagram. “Proud to introduce my sweet girlfriend!” Ethan wrote in a since-deleted post. “She truly is one of the sweetest, kindest, and patient people I’ve ever known! Looking forward to the next year and what it has to bring.” Teegan first appeared on Welcome to Plathville during Season 7, which aired in September 2025.
Then, Ethan and Teegan shared how they met. “I had posted a picture of me and my motorcycle, and she, I guess, commented back, ‘It’s a nice motorcycle,’” Ethan said. “I looked at her profile, and I was like, ‘Oh, dang. Like, it is a very nice motorcycle.’” Teegan added, “I was jumping up and down because I really thought I’d never hear from you.”
