‘Jersey Shore’: How Many Kids Does Pauly D Have?
Pauly D stars on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, a long-beloved reality series, but he keeps a lot of his life off of TV, too. The professional DJ is a father, but does not share that part of his life on the MTV series.
While Pauly has opened up about fatherhood in the past, his daughter has never appeared on Jersey Shore, and he has mostly kept tight-lipped about his relationship with her mother. Scroll down for everything we know.
How many children does Pauly D have?
Pauly has one child. His daughter, Amabella, was born in April 2013, although he did not publicly disclose that he had become a father until six months later.
“I’m proud I’m a father,” Pauly D said in a statement at the time. “At 33 I am excited to embark on this new part of my life.” He later wrote on X, “Sometimes in life things aren’t planned and they may even scare you at first, but they end up being a blessing. That is how I feel about having a daughter, I am looking forward to being a parent to her.”
Pauly also opened up about being a father on his show Double Shot at Love. “It’s the first time I ever loved something and somebody more than I love myself,” he gushed. “That girl is my everything and there’s two most important ladies in my life: my mother and my daughter.”
Who is the mother of Pauly D’s daughter?
Amabella’s mother is Amanda Markert. She and Pauly met out in Las Vegas in August 2012 and had a one-night stand.
The two reportedly met through Amabella’s friend Loren, who was dating Pauly’s security guard at the time. “She went to Vegas for the night to visit Loren and she wound up hanging out with Pauly at Rehab,” HollywoodLife reported. “Later that night, they hooked up and she left Vegas the next morning. Their one night in Vegas was the only time they’ve ever been together.”
At the time of the hookup, Amanda was already a mother to one child. Per her Instagram posts, she welcomed another daughter in 2021.
Pauly and Amanda never had a romantic relationship beyond their one night together. He has been dating his Double Shot at Love pick Nikki Hall since 2019.
Does Pauly D have custody of his daughter?
Pauly and Amanda reportedly share custody of Amabella. Although Amanda lives in New Jersey, and Pauly is mostly based in Las Vegas, they have maintained an amicable coparenting relationship.
In 2013, TMZ reported that Pauly and Amanda were embroiled in a custody war, with him allegedly claiming she was an unfit mother and her demanding child support from him. However, they appear to have settled their differences now.

“[That relationship] was so rocky in the beginning,” Pauly admitted on a 2018 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. “It was nuts, but we got over it, and now this is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
The pair reunited for Amabella’s 10th birthday party in 2023. Amanda even shared a photo of herself, Pauly, Nikki, and Amabella from the event.
