What To Know

- The cast revealed to Swooon that they would love to see Roan Curtis return for Season 2.
Every Year After may be a beautiful love story for Sam (Matt Cornett) and Percy (Sadie Soverall), but for one character, it’s a bit of a horror movie. Think Daphne at the start of Emily Henry‘s Funny Story. It’s never fun to be abandoned by the one you love, all because a childhood friend reenters their life.
Taylor, Sam’s girlfriend, whom he’s planning to propose to, has become a major point of discussion since the series June 10 premiere. Played by Roan Curtis, the star of Hallmark‘s Hope Valley: 1874, it’s hard not to like Sam’s pediatrician, almost-fiancée. As the character gets far more screen time than she had on the page, it’s clear that we have to do a little digging into her role in the series.
So, who is Roan Curtis? Was Taylor in Carley Fortune‘s original book, Every Summer After? And could she appear in future seasons? Swooon‘s breaking down all that and more below.
