Who Is Matt Rogers in a Relationship With? All About His Boyfriend
The Las Culturistas Culture Awards, hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, will air on June 17, putting the podcast hosts in the spotlight on Bravo. The show filmed on May 30, and Rogers brought his boyfriend, Fraser Olender, with him to the taping.
The guys posed for photos together on the red carpet about six months after their romance was first confirmed. Below, Swooon rounded up everything to know about Olender and his relationship with Rogers.
What does Fraser Olender do for a living?
Olender is a cast member on Below Deck. He joined the show in Season 9 as a 2nd steward and was a chief steward from Seasons 10 to 12. At the Las Culturistas Culture Awards in May, Rogers told Out that his partner was back working on a mega yacht in France, seemingly for another season of the hit Bravo show.
Hailing from London, Fraser got his start in yachting after being a guest on a yacht. “It was a time when I was working and living in London, doing my so-called ‘dream job,’ but it just absolutely wasn’t ticking the boxes,” Olender told Travel & Leisure. “I was miserable, but I went on this boat, and I was surrounded by all these crew members that were so fascinated and in love with what they did. And I was in awe.”
Olender previously appeared on Season 11 of Made in Chelsea in 2016. He was on the show as a friend of Lucy Watson.
Why was Fraser Olender hospitalized?
After his BravoCon hospitalization in 2025, Olender opened up about his health issues. He revealed that he suffered a heart attack as a result of vaping.
“To keep it simple – I had vape poisoning, (an E-cigarette or Vaping-Associated Lung Injury (EVALI)) and I have never experienced fear or pain like it,” Olender wrote, adding that he had a “coronary artery vasospasm” because of “whatever was in my vape.”
Olender explained the situation in simple terms, noting, “Medically, that means the arteries supplying blood to my heart suddenly clamped down. The spasm reduced blood flow enough to cause an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), better known as a heart attack.”

He shared that it was “not because of a blockage, but because my heart wasn’t getting enough oxygen during the spasm.”
Following the incident, Olender quit vaping and said he “never will” do it again. “The pain I endured for 24 hours was inexplicable, 2 rounds of morphine didn’t touch the sides and eventually had to be given the strongest pain relief legal to administer in ER – and that only brought my pain from a 10 to a 7,” he added. “I could have died for the sake of something so ridiculously stupid, so please do yourselves a favour and give it up too – cold turkey. We do not know enough about these horrific things but I can tell you one thing; that was NOT cute, not even for the plot.”
How did Matt Rogers and Fraser Olender meet?
Rogers and Olender met after the former slid into the latter’s DMs. The message was sent after the Las Culturistas Culture Awards in July 2025.
“Fraser actually was invited last year and couldn’t make it,” Rogers told Out. “He did an interview right after that, saying he was disappointed to miss it. It was because of that interview that I even DMed him. In a way, the Culture Awards were the intro to how we even started talking.”
The pair confirmed their relationship in November 2025 when they each posted photos with one another at BravoCon. Olender also referenced Rogers in his caption about his medical scare at the event, writing, “A very special human stayed with me until 5am whilst I lay there useless, in agony, attached to multiple machines and pumped with the strongest meds – sooo grateful for him, the nurses and the docs!”
Who is Fraser Olender’s ex-boyfriend?
Olender has never revealed the identity of his ex-boyfriend, but he dealt with a public breakup during Season 12 of Below Deck in 2025. Throughout the season, Olender struggled with the long-distance romance, noting that his boyfriend felt more like a “pen pal” and revealing that they’d only seen each other five times in the year so far.
The former couple broke up after Olender kissed Damo Yorg. Afterwards, he had a conversation with the boyfriend and came back to reveal, “Just so you know, my boyfriend and I broke up. Because we don’t see each other. I’m perfectly fine.”
Olender also later said he “absolutely” does not think he cheated. “It would not bother me if my boyfriend was to, like, make out with one of his straight male friends,” he explained. “If it was another gay man, I get it. It wouldn’t be cool.”
During Season 11, Olender also kissed a yacht guest named Steven on Below Deck.
