’90 Day Fiancé’s Jenny Slatten Shares ALS Update: ‘My Voice Is Completely Different’

On May 19, beloved 90 Day Fiancé couple Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh, who are currently appearing on this season of 90 Day: The Last Resort, revealed that Jenny has been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).
Now, a little over a month after the announcement, the 90 Day star has taken to Instagram to give her followers an update on her health. While she revealed that she is still walking, Jenny shared, “My voice is completely different. My speech is very slow now.”
In a series of Instagram videos, which you can watch below, Sumit shared, “We are here to update you about Jenny’s ALS journey. As you guys know, Jenny is struggling with ALS — Suffering with ALS, that is the proper word to say.” The duo also thanked their followers for showing their support by booking Cameos from them.
Aside from sharing an update on her slowed speech, Jenny shared, “I’m still walking, but I get very tired.” She assured her viewers, “I’m gonna keep walking, but… wheelchair probably soon.” Both she and Sumit agreed that they do not want that.
“One thing is that Jenny is still able to talk,” Sumit told viewers. “It’s hard for her to talk. It takes a lot of effort. She’s still able to walk and do things.” According to Sumit, she is still very self-sufficient. He confirmed, “She is still doing good.”
“I’m trying my best,” Jenny smiled, telling their followers. In Sumit’s words, “Giving up is not an option, so that’s why she is doing this.”
The duo also thanked their followers for donating to their GoFundMe, saying, “That much love — We did not expect it.” While Sumit explained that he would love to go out and provide for Jenny and himself, he revealed, “Sometimes it’s not that easy. Sometimes Jenny needs me here.” Jenny also doesn’t have insurance in India.

Back in May, the couple opened up about Jenny’s diagnosis: “With a heavy heart we wanted to share a news with all of you guys. That, there was a rumor that I had a stroke, but it turned out to be ALS. At first, we tried to keep it private because it’s been very emotional and overwhelming for us. We were hoping to find some kind of solution before speaking publicly. But after trying for some time, we feel like it’s time to reach out. Thank you so much for all the love and support. Right now, we are open to any kind of help — treatments, clinical trials, lifestyle changes, or anything that could help treat this disease or slow down its progression.”
