Is Ben Shelton in a relationship?
Yes, Shelton is in a relationship with Trinity Rodman. They first teased their romance with separate TikTok videos in March 2025, then hard-launched their love with a kissing selfie on Shelton’s Instagram Story later that month.
After going public, Shelton and Rodman continued to support one another in their careers and show off their love on social media. When he won the Stuttgart Open in June, he said, “I want to thank my girlfriend for flying here from Brazil. I won a title at I think every tournament she’s been at this year. You’re definitely the good luck charm, so I really appreciate you making the effort.”
Who is Trinity Rodman?
Rodman is a professional soccer player. She plays on the United States national team and for the Washington Spirit. She was on the U.S. Women’s team that won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics and also competed for the U.S. at the World Cup in 2023.

Notably, her father is former pro basketball player Dennis Rodman. She has a complicated relationship with her famous father and was mostly raised by mom Michelle Moyer. In 2024, Rodman described her relationship with her dad as mostly estranged, citing examples including his showing up unannounced to one of her soccer matches in 2021, only to then not reach out for months.
“I think after that was when I lost hope in ever getting him back. It was just going to be, like, he’s popping in whenever he wants to be in a camera,” she explained. “And even at that game, I don’t think that was for me. I think he wanted to have a good conscience and then be like, headline: Dennis Rodman showed up to his daughter’s game.”
How did Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman meet?
The two met after Rodman slid into Shelton’s DMs. “I was like, ‘Hey, when you gonna come visit me?’ and he was like, ‘I’ll come right now,'” Rodman revealed. “So then he flew out and the rest is history.”
At one point, tennis player Frances Tiafoe was publicly taking credit for setting the couple up, but Shelton and Rodman both denied this. “I can assure you Frances was not the reason we met or got together,” Rodman said on SportsCenter. “I don’t know why he’s taking credit for that. Me and Ben can both cut that out. It was a solely me and Ben thing.”
Meanwhile, Shelton told the New York Post, “Tiafoe had nothing to do with it. He’s taking credit, ‘Oh, yeah, I put them together. I was like Danny Ainge.’ He’s a liar. He’s trying to make it about himself. It’s not about him, but that’s funny.”
