Netflix’s tongue-wagging reality TV favorite is back for Season 4, following the cancellation of its queer spinoff (sob), and we’re once again watching couples question everything about their relationships.
This season, viewers have gotten to know Blake Robertson as a man who knows his way around a suit but may still be figuring out the whole work-life balance thing. Unlike some of his fellow cast members, Blake entered The Ultimatum Season 4 willingly, which already put him ahead of the game. However, in the middle of Season 4’s run, a major controversy from Blake’s past involving his girlfriend, Hayley Hendrich, was revealed.

Who is Blake Robertson?
Blake is originally from Texas and attended Texas A&M before moving to Miami for a career opportunity. The 26-year-old now works as Head of Marketing and Operations at his family’s RV business.
His Instagram is essentially a highlight reel of Blake himself, packed with solo shots that prove he’s not shy in front of the camera. A cheeky gym selfie also confirms he’s putting just as much effort into his fitness as he is into growing the family business.

Who is Blake’s partner?
Blake is dating Hayley, a 23-year-old marketing specialist. The pair first met when Hayley was nannying his stepbrothers, but it wasn’t until a family wine night around the fire pit that sparks started flying. They’ve now been together for two and a half years, which raises the question: If you’re still counting the half, are you really ready for an engagement? Just something to think about.
Hayley describes their dynamic as “fire and ice.” She feels her emotional needs aren’t always being met by Blake, who admits he’s a very “logical” and “results-driven person.” It’s therefore not surprising that his relationship philosophy is: “Stop trying to change the person you fell in love with.” Blake explains that he’s already ticked off many of his personal milestones, and marriage feels like the logical next step.
Yep, he’s the one giving the ultimatum, which always makes things interesting when the partner pushing for commitment is the one setting the challenge.
But before they officially enter the experiment, Blake and Hayley already hit a communication bump. Blake says they should both go in “100%” and with “no strings attached,” which, unsurprisingly, does not land well with Hayley. She quickly reminds him that The Ultimatum is not intended to be a “hall pass.”
Will Blake and Hayley leave the experiment engaged… or even leave together at all? Some post-season context has fans believing that they have split.
Was Blake arrested after The Ultimatum filmed?
According to a report from TMZ, Blake “was arrested after being accused of an assault involving his girlfriend, Hayley Hendrich,” in October 2025, which was after the season filmed. His attorney said in a statement, “Blake’s case was rightfully dismissed by the prosecutor almost immediately, and all records were expunged.”
Apparently, Hayley also confirmed to TMZ that “she declined to have charges pressed… but believes accountability needs to be taken publicly as well.” Will this come up at the reunion? Only time will tell.
Who is Blake’s trial partner?
Blake seems to have a surprisingly good time during the dating period, so much so that he completely forgets to acknowledge his own girlfriend, Hayley, at a group mixer. Unsurprisingly, she is not thrilled.

During the experiment, Blake feels the strongest connections with Ashley Wilson and Monica Payne, leaving him with a difficult choice. Both women are drawn to his confidence, compliments, and ambitious nature, but ultimately Blake decides to enter a trial marriage with Ashley, another person who came into the experiment as an ultimatum-giver.
The pair bond over their shared family values, especially their similar career paths. Ashley hopes to eventually take over her father’s business, while Blake is already working alongside his family. Their sweet boat date also suggests that they have enough chemistry to cause waves with their original partners. Interestingly, their original partners, Killian Grondin and Hayley, also pair up!
Ashley recently told Swooon that there were off-camera moments involving Blake that caught her off guard. “[Blake’s] dad was calling Hayley, telling her to wear lingerie in front of Killian,” Ashley said. “I felt like they were trying to create drama that wasn’t shown because they’re doing it behind the scenes. And I just listen to everybody, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, okay.’ But his dad was calling Hayley, telling her to wear lingerie.”
When asked for the reasoning behind the messages, Ashley said, “To stir up drama with Killian and make him, I don’t know, to make it drama-filled, I guess? And then Blake would show me text messages of any time Hayley would text him things about me.”
