Mari is a model and beauty pageant winner. She won Miss North Dakota USA in 2014 and was first runner-up at the Miss USA pageant later that year. She also came in sixth place at the 2016 Miss World pageant.
How did Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari meet?
Duhamel met his wife after sliding into her DMs, he revealed on Live With Kelly and Mark in 2023. He reached out to her because they are both from North Dakota.
“I root for people who do really well for North Dakota because there’s not really many of us and I really root for them,” he explained. “I invited her over to a barbecue one weekend, and she came and I was like, ‘Wow, you’re beautiful.'”
In 2025, he revealed on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast that the relationship was “platonic for, like, years” before he and Mari started dating. “I was like, ‘Nah, she’s too young, I’m not even going to go there,'” he explained, adding that they DMed back and forth before meeting in person.

There is a 21-year age gap between Duhamel and Mari. He was born on November 14, 1972, and is now 53 years old, while she was born on January 8, 1994, and is currently 32 years old.
Dunamel said that even after Mari came to his barbecue, he was still concerned about the age gap. However, he added, “She’s more mature than I am, and that’s really how we started dating and it’s been a beautiful thing.”

Duhamel has three children. With Fergie, he shares a son, Axl, born in 2013. He and Mari are parents to a son and daughter, born in January 2024 and May 2026, respectively.

Duhamel and Fergie have an amicable coparenting relationship. They share 50/50 physical and legal custody of Axl.
“[Fergie has] taken Audra in,” Duhamel said on The Jess Cagle Show in 2023. “And it could be much worse. That’s the thing is … you never know how these things are gonna go.”
Fergie also once said on The Talk, “Everything basically is staying the same [with Duhamel], except we’re not a romantic couple anymore. I love Josh. We’re making it work.”
