‘My Life with the Walter Boys’: The Devastating Theory About Cole’s Future
What To Know
- Fans of My Life with the Walter Boys are speculating what’s next for Cole after the Season 3 finale.
- Their theories stem from actor Noah LaLonde’s social media post.
- Showrunner Melanie Halsall teased what’s next for Jackie and Cole in an interview with Swooon.
My Life with the Walter Boys has presented Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and Cole (Noah LaLonde) plenty of bumps in the road since their will-they-won’t-they romance began, but fans suspect the most devastating one is yet to come. (Warning: Spoilers ahead for Season 3!)
How could it get more devastating than Jackie and Cole’s Episode 7 breakup, you may be wondering? Especially considering the fact that, per Rodriguez, Jackie believes Cole’s hurtful words about her and their relationship at face value. Well, the finale episode makes the situation even more tragic by putting Cole in a car accident, leaving his fate in question. That’s why fans are suspicious about LaLonde’s choice of wording in his latest Instagram post.
The actor shared a series of images from Season 3 filming, but it’s his caption that has caught more attention. “So many great memories from season 3, can hardly remember them all…” he wrote.
Theories flooded the comments section and TikTok. Though LaLonde’s “can hardly remember them all” statement could simply mean that he made tons of good memories during filming, some viewers are wondering if it could be LaLonde teasing that Cole will lose his memory as a result of his car accident.
One comment with hundreds of likes says, “My predictions for season 4: Cole will not remember anyone bc he will have amnesia… Alex will tell Jackie why Cole broke up with her! She will get mad at Eliot and not talk to him again… And then Cole will fall in love with Jackie all over again, proving that they are the better couple and that they are endgame.”
Plenty of others are buying into the theory, taking the discussion to TikTok. “I’ll actually crash out if he loses his memory,” says one of the commenters on a post with thousands of likes.
At this rate, My Life with the Walter Boys is no longer following author Ali Novak’s book series of the same name. It’s anyone’s guess how Cole will fare after his car accident — and how or if he’ll get back together with Jackie after their falling out.
Showrunner Melanie Halsall teased some elements of Season 4 to Swooon, saying, “We would probably be looking at coming up quite close after Season 3 would end.”
She later added, “I mean, it’s going to be very, very hard to come back from that particular breakup. We know, of course, that Cole did it with the best of intentions, misguided though they may be, but Jackie doesn’t, and so it’s going to be difficult for those two to come back together, I think, for a while.”
