Who is Tyray Mollett?
Tyray Mollett is a beloved 90 Day Fiancé star from Modesto, California, who has been with the franchise since 2023. On Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, he revealed that he was dating Carmella, a 27-year-old woman from Barbados, for over four years. Primarily texting over Snapchat, the two had never had a video call. When production tried to reach out to Tyray’s girlfriend, they discovered that Tyray had been catfished, and Carmella did not exist. Today, Tyray is 36.
What happened between Tyray and Carmella?
According to production, Carmella was the catfishing persona of a man named Christian. Holding out hope that he and Carmella were just having a misunderstanding, Tyray explained, “I don’t know where to go from here.” After his sister reverse image searched her selfies, Tyray found out that the photos he received were of a real woman named Carmella, who later claimed that she had nothing to do with the catfishing.
On the Season 6 Tell All, Christian spoke out, revealing, “I just looked for guy who maybe send money… It’s only for money, for me.”
Are Tyray and Shannon still together?

He explained to People, “After the whole situation…I kind of was like, I don’t trust anyone. I have relationship issues, trust issues, and all that.” Tyray admitted that the catfishing situation “helped in a huge way” by convincing him to make serious changes in his life. He underwent gastric sleeve surgery in early 2025, and has since undergone a hair transplant as well.
Giving fans an update on what’s next, he revealed, “I love traveling, so I think that’d be a good experience to do it again, since last time I kind of got duped out of it. I have been hanging out with other 90 Day cast members, so they’ve been pushing me out there, too.”
