Score! Meet the ‘Ted Lasso’ Cast’s Real-Life Loves
August 5 marks the triumphant return of Ted Lasso after a more than three-year hiatus. Season 4 sees Ted (Jason Sudeikis) return to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s soccer team.
Several familiar faces, including Sudeikis, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddingham, and more, are back as their beloved characters in the latest installment. And while fan favorites, such as Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster), aren’t returning in a full-time capacity, there are also some new faces added to the mix this time around.

Ted Lasso, Season 4, Wednesdays, Apple TV
Jason Sudeikis
Sudeikis, who plays titular character Ted Lasso, is currently single. He recently admitted on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast that being single has its “ups and downs,” and also noted that he has no desire to “date numerous people all at once.”
In 2020, Sudeikis ended his nine-year relationship with Olivia Wilde. The former couple met in 2011 and got engaged in 2013 before calling it quits. They now amicably coparent their two children.
He was previously married to Kay Cannon from 2004 until their 2008 separation and dated January Jones in 2010 and 2011.
Hannah Waddingham
Waddingham, who plays AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, is in a relationship with Nick Beresford-Cleary, a consultant spinal surgeon.
The couple went public in March 2026 and made their red carpet debut three months later.
Waddingham was previously in a 10-year relationship with businessman Gianluca Cugnetto, whom she shares a daughter (born 2014) with.
Jeremy Swift
Jeremy Swift’s onscreen love interest is his real-life wife! As Leslie Higgins on Ted Lasso, he is married to Julie Higgins, played by Mary Roscoe, whom Swift married IRL in 1992. Leslie and Julie have five children on the show, and are parents to two adopted kids off-screen.
Brendan Hunt
Brendan Hunt, who plays Ted’s right-hand man, Coach Willis Beard, on Ted Lasso, married his wife, Shannon Nelson, in October 2025 after a two-year engagement. They are parents to two children.
Brett Goldstein
Goldstein plays the often hot-headed Roy Kent. Despite rumors of a relationship with Jennifer Lopez while they were promoting their rom-com Office Romance earlier this year, Goldstein is currently single.
The actor was previously in a relationship with comedian Beth Rylance. He confirmed the romance by mentioning her in his 2021 Emmys acceptance speech. The two quietly broke up at some point after that.
Juno Temple
Temple (Keeley on Ted Lasso) met husband Michal Szymanski on the set of the second season of the Apple TV series in 2021. He was working as Waddingham’s driver at the time.
While promoting Season 4 in August 2026, Temple confirmed that she and Szymanski had secretly gotten married.
Tanya Reynolds
Tanya Reynolds, a new addition to Ted Lasso Season 4 as Alice Chilton, the AFC Richmond women’s coach, has been dating Freddie Fox since 2020. They met in 2016 on the set of Fanny Lye Deliver’d.
Abbie Hern
Abbie Hern joins Season 4 as Gemma, one of the players on the Richmond women’s team. It is unclear if she is in a relationship IRL, but she appears to be single.
Aisling Sharkey
Aisling Sharkey plays Niamh, an Irish soccer star who joins the Richmond women’s team, on Ted Lasso. Her IRL relationship status appears to be single.
Rex Hayes
Rex Hayes plays Siobhan, Niamh’s twin and another Richmond AFC player for the women’s team. Their real-life relationship status is unknown.
Faye Marsay
Faye Marsay’s Lizzie is another player on the Ted Lasso women’s team. She appears to be single in real life.
