What To Know

  • Netflix aired the Single’s Inferno Season 5 finale on February 10.
  • A day later, the Korean reality dating show was greenlit for Season 6.
  • Producer Kim Jae-won and host Kyuhyun have spoken about the future of the show.

Single’s Inferno Season 5 served up more drama than ever, but when it came to the show’s fate, Netflix didn’t leave fans in suspense for long. Only a day after the February 10 finale, Single’s Inferno producers confirmed Season 6 is coming.

They told Koreaboo, “Thanks to the unwavering love of our fans, we are able to start a new season. We will listen carefully to their feedback and work hard to make Single’s Inferno even hotter.” That means we’ll see a whole new batch new singles head to Inferno island, compete in challenges, and (ideally) find lasting love.

The renewal comes after producer Kim Jae-won shared his optimistic vision about the Korean dating show’s future. In September 2025, he told a Korean news outlet, “The original goal was to make it to Season 10. I’m currently editing [Season 5], and I think Season 20 might be possible. That’s how I feel in the editing room.”

Once Single’s Inferno drops its Season 5 reunion on February 14, it’ll be time to start looking ahead to Season 6. Netflix has churned out new episodes every year since Season 1 dropped in 2021, so can fans expect to go back to Inferno island in 2027? Swooon has all the latest updates about Single’s Inferno Season 6 release date, cast, and more below.

When is Single’s Inferno Season 6’s release date?

Netflix hasn’t confirmed Season 6’s release date. New seasons typically release at the beginning of the year, so it would likely drop in January or February 2027. It all depends on when production starts.

Who is in the Single’s Inferno Season 6 cast?

Typically, casting isn’t shared until closer to the premiere date, so fans likely won’t know who the next Single’s Inferno participants are until next year.

It’s possible that Single’s Inferno will take the same approach to finding its cast as Season 5 did. Per Harper’s Bazaar, Kim said that the show tried to bring in less influencers and models compared to previous seasons. The producer looked for people on the streets because he “felt limited by social media.” They looked for a greater range of professions to bring onto the show.

Will Hanhae, Dex, Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, Kyuhyun host Single’s Inferno Season 6?

Kyuhyun seems ready to move full steam ahead. “Even though I’m in the position of announcing Season 5, I’m already looking forward to Season 6,” he told Korea Joongang Daily in January. However, neither he nor his fellow hosts have been confirmed for Season 6. Fans will have to wait for more news from Netflix.
