‘American Idol’ Season 24: Brooks Rosser & Rae Confirm Romance on Disney Night

It’s official: Brooks Rosser and Rae are a couple! After fans began speculating that the American Idol Season 24 contestants were dating, they confirmed the news themselves during the Disney Night episode on April 20.
Rae was eliminated from the competition last week, but she showed up to show support for Brooks during his Top 9 performance. Before the sweet reunion, host Ryan Seacrest teased Brooks a bit on stage.
“Did you connect with anybody [on the show]?” he asked a blushing Brooks. “I hear you’re a real Prince Charming!” Brooks was clearly shy about the situation and wondered, “Oh god. I have to say it?”

Seacrest took the pressure off and let Brooks know, “Somebody’s here to surprise you. She’s really excited. Rae, one of the biggest Brooks fans!” Rae ran onto the stage and gave Brooks a huge hug, congratulating him on his performance of the Miley Cyrus hit “The Climb” from Hannah Montana: The Movie.
Rae was much less shy when it came to confirming the dating news. When Seacrest asked if she had anything to share, Rae proudly stated, “The princess is here to claim her prince!”
Brooks and Rae have been fueling romance rumors in recent weeks. Fans noticed their undeniable chemistry in a duet they posted on Instagram, and then the speculation intensified when Rae posted a photo of Brooks holding up a sign that said, “Vote for Bae,” with “Bae” crossed out to read “Rae.” She noted, “He said he would still vote for me.”
Interestingly enough, Brooks and Rae are both from Maryland, and fans online reported seeing them out together at local establishments before the Live Shows began in Los Angeles in March.
If Brooks gets enough votes to make it through this week of the competition, he’ll be in the Top 7 and perform on Taylor Swift Night on April 27. Needless to say, Rae will be there cheering him on!
