Nicole Kidman was a co-chair of the 2026 Met Gala, and she had a very special plus-one by her side on the red carpet. The actress took her 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, as her date to the A-list event.
In September 2025, Kidman filed for divorce from husband Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage. Sunday is the former couple’s eldest daughter and has begun dabbling in modeling, having made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2024.
For the “Costume Art”-themed Met Gala, attendees were urged to dress in line with the “Fashion Is Art” dress code. Kidman and her daughter coordinated their outfits. The Big Little Lies star rocked a red sequined dress with red feathered detailing, while Sunday wore a strapless pink ensemble with red embellishments that matched her mother’s look.

This was Sunday’s Met Gala debut. Both ladies also wore their long hair straight, while Sunday accessorized with big pink earrings that matched the aesthetic and color of her dress. Kidman is serving as co-chair of the event alongside Anna Wintour, Venus Williams, and Beyoncé.
In January, Kidman and Urban finalized their divorce. Two months later, Kidman broke her silence on the shocking split, telling Variety she was doing “all right” six months after announcing the separation.
“I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” she explained. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect.”
Kidman and Urban also share 15-year-old daughter Faith. She insisted that she is operating “in a place of ‘we are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.”
In addition to Sunday and Faith, Kidman also shares adult children Connor and Isabella with ex-husband Tom Cruise, whom she was married to from 1990 to 2001.
