‘Sullivan’s Crossing’: Morgan Kohan Teases Maggie’s Future & Finale Cliffhanger
What To Know
- Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing will end with a cliffhanger, Morgan Kohan told Swooon.
- Maggie’s relationship with Cal has faced new complications with the reappearance of her husband, Liam.
- Sullivan’s Crossing has already been renewed for a fifth season.
Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) hasn’t had the easiest journey in Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4, especially when it comes to her love life. The sudden reappearance of her secret husband, Liam (Marcus Rosner), has put her relationship with Cal (Chad Michael Murray) at risk.
Sullivan’s Crossing is no stranger to shocking cliffhangers. Given how Season 3 ended with Liam showing up out of the blue just as Maggie and Cal had navigated their latest obstacle, how will Season 4 leave Maggie and Cal?
“We will be left with a cliffhanger,” Kohan told Swooon. “There’s definitely some resolution there. There will be answers to things for sure.”
The actress did point out that Season 4 leaves Maggie “much more grounded and settled. I think Maggie leaves Season 4 in a much more grounded and happier place than in the beginning.”

While Maggie and Cal fans weren’t thrilled with Liam’s presence in Season 4, Kohan noted that this journey with Liam has made her “question and reevaluate a lot of things” in her life, both in the past and in the present. “I think it’s her kind of reckoning with how much of that is true to who she is today, or has just pushed a lot of this aside to make the version of herself now fit nicely,” she added.
She acknowledged that the Sullivan’s Crossing writers “wanted the audience to be rooting for both” Cal and Liam. “These are two wonderful men who care so much about her, who are kind, who want to do good in the world, but they just speak to different versions of her,” Kohan explained.
Sullivan’s Crossing has already been renewed for Season 5. Kohan revealed what she hopes to see more of in a fifth season with her character. “I always just want to see more of Maggie and her friends,” she said. “And we’ve gotten to, in Seasons 3 and 4. We’ve gotten to see more of her in moments of lightness and fun and frivolity, and getting to see her a little bit more at peace. I think that’s such a breath as an audience, too, to get to see that, because Seasons 1 and 2 are really heavy for Maggie.”
