On Season 1 of Million Dollar Nannies, Leah Barrs, who created an agency for travel nannies, dropped a bombshell confession that she once slept with a client. Obviously, sleeping with the father of a child you’re watching as a nanny is a big no-no, and the reveal sent shockwaves through the agency and its wealthy clients.
The incident happened nearly 10 years ago, and now that all episodes of the show are streaming on Hulu, Leah is giving an update on where she stands with the person she slept with. (Their identity has not been revealed.)
“I was young. I was 22 at the time, and I shouldn’t have done that,” Leah told People. As she said on the show, Leah reiterated that the father was single when they slept together, and that he was her friend before things got taken to that level.
“[But] I was working for him that night, and I shouldn’t have crossed that line,” she added. “It was something I regret doing. I guess I don’t regret it because you learn from your mistakes, but I’m not that person today.”
Leah also confirmed she “doesn’t really talk to” the father in question anymore. “He’s happily married,” she said. “Pack it up.”
The professional nanny previously told TV Insider that she “did not expect” the story about her sleeping with a client to blow up the way it did. “I was hesitant to share it on camera, but at the end of the day, I was young, I’m just a girl,” she said. “I’m learning as I go. I was young. It’s not something I resonate with today. I’ve grown so much since that time.”
And while she’s admittedly worried for more backlash now that this revelation is coming out on the show, she also added, “At the end of the day, I know who I am, and I know how I’ve grown after all these years. I hope I keep staying true to who I am and that that will shine through.”
