Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy might be broken up on Season 2 of Next Gen NYC, but they’re still in each other’s lives as part of the same New York City friend group. In Swooon‘s exclusive preview of the July 1 episode, Ariana notices Hudson spending a lot of time with Charlie Zakkour, his former nemesis.

“I feel like everyone’s on the same page with Charlie and the fact that he f**king sucks,” Ariana complains to Georgia McCann, Gia Giudice, and other cast members in the clip. “I gave Hudson a fair warning of hanging out with Charlie. I was like, ‘You know what Charlie’s into, you know he’s a horrible influence, and you need to be careful with him. You saw what he got into this summer.'” (More on that here.)

Georgia, who has a history of feuding with Charlie, jumps in to warn Ariana, “If Hudson’s hanging out with Charlie, that’s bad news,” to which Ariana responds, “I know that, and I told him the same thing.” Georgia points out that Charlie “did this with my ex,” too.

Giving Hudson the benefit of the doubt, Ariana explains, “I feel like he wants to have a friend here in the city,” but Georgia isn’t having it. “The city is eight million people! He has to hang out with Charlie?!” she wonders.

Ariana then reveals, “I even told Hudson, ‘Did you forget he said he wanted to f**k me last year?'” Georgia says that past comment from Charlie makes the whole situation even weirder.

Looking back on her situation with ex Omar Zaki, Georgia complains, “They met three f**king times before we broke up. Then we break up and Charlie and Omar are texting. I’m like, ‘Are you talking to my ex?’ ‘No, I haven’t spoken to him.’ Meanwhile, they’re stealing my company, stealing my club idea, and lying to my face the whole time.”

Gia warns Ariana and Georgia, “Obviously Charlie’s going to kind of be around. Just play your cards right.”

On the Next Gen NYC after show last week, Hudson explained why he was befriending Charlie. “Well, you know what they say: Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer,” he dished. “I was avoiding Charlie flirting with Ariana by being friends with him.”

Since filming of Season 2 ended, Ariana and Hudson have seemingly gotten back together, but we will see their relationship drama play out on the show.
