‘Love Island Games’: Kay Kay Gray Addresses Where She Stands With Tyrique Hyde
Love Island Games Season 2 saw Chris Seeley and Kay Kay Gray couple up on the first day, all the way up until their double elimination in Episode 8. Seeing that it was still early days, Chris and Kay Kay both explored a few other connections in the villa. The latter, for one, shared a kiss with Tyrique Hyde, which got plenty of fans buzzing.
Ultimately, they had a few more flirty conversations before Kay Kay lost a duel to Andrea Carmona and was dumped from the island. When Chris tapped out of his own duel, he and Kay Kay left the villa together, looking forward to exploring their budding relationship in the outside world. When Swooon caught up with them on September 25, Chris and Kay Kay were focused on each other — but does Kay Kay feel like she has any unfinished business with Tyrique?
“I feel like that was just an in-the-villa thing, like a little fling,” Kay Kay said. “I was never really taking Tyrique that serious as far as trying to couple up and do a whole love thing.”
She added that she thinks her best connection was with Chris all along, though she appreciated what she had with Tyrique during the show. “I mean, it was nice to have options and get to know Tyrique,” she explained. “He’s a great guy. But ultimately, I just feel like my connection with Chris is a lot different. It’s a lot more intentional and, yeah, it’s just a better connection, in my opinion.”
Still, we had to ask about a brief moment after Kay Kay lost her duel, when she appears to wipe away a tear on Tyrique’s cheek. (See the fan edit below for reference.) “I don’t know if it was a real tear because there was only one, but…” Kay Kay said, laughing.
