A new season of Farmer Wants a Wife has arrived, with three hunky new farmers searching for forever love. Ahead of the premiere, the Season 4 farmers, Sean Cavanaugh, Brett Maverick, and Braden Pridemore sat down with Swooon to spill on their first crushes, favorite rom-coms, and more.
Two of the farmers may spend most of their time outside on the farm, but they still love a good rom-com just like the rest of us. And when it comes to love songs, all three have some good picks on their romance playlists.
Brett, the season’s 35-year-old horse and cattle farmer, revealed that his favorite rom-com is 10 Things I Hate About You. In a very fitting choice, Braden, a 26-year-old corn and soybean farmer, let us know that his favorite is Sweet Home Alabama.
On the other hand, 22-year-old farm-to-table produce farmer Sean Cavanaugh admitted, “Honestly, I’m not much of a TV show guy. I’m not much of a movie guy in general. I honestly spend most of my time outside. I really don’t like to be cooped up inside watching a bunch of stuff… I can’t even think of one.”
That said, his first pop culture crush easily came to mind. He shared, “I would say Margot Robbie,” specifically pointing to her role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Brett revealed that his crush was Megan Fox, sharing, “Well, before that, it was Kimberly, the pink Power Ranger.” Braden could remember always crushing on Julianne Hough.
When it comes to favorite love songs, Sean shared, “On the way here, I just watched the movie A Star Is Born,” explaining that he loves “Shallow.” While Braden was quick to answer with “Carried Away” by George Strait, Brett confessed that he’s always dreamed of kissing someone while “Here” by Hellogoodbye is playing.
Will Brett get his “Here” kiss by the end of the season? Only time will tell!
