In Swooon‘s exclusive preview of the June 22 episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort, Russ and Paola take the hot seat as the season’s sexologist, Dr. Tara, continues her therapy sit-down with the six couples, exploring each duo’s individual intimacy and communication preferences. There, Russ and Paola confess that only Russ is satisfied with their intimacy, leaving Paola to fend for herself after he goes to bed.
Dr. Tara asks, “Russ, I actually, yeah, I wrote down in my note you said that you find kinky sex arousing, but then you said that you’re also proudly vanilla.” Seems like a bit of a contradiction there!
In response, Russ says, “I like kinky sex, but I’m proudly vanilla because that’s where I get the satisfaction. Like, missionary is, I know what I’m doing, for me, I guess… I satisfy myself first.” Turns out, Paola has been feeling quite unsatisfied with that routine. That’s because Russ doesn’t just satisfy himself first — he never satisfies Paola at all.
“At this point, the way he is,” Paola reveals, “It’s like, ‘Okay, he’s done,’ and I’m actually waiting for him to go to sleep, and I just go and finish myself.” Even Shekinah and Sarper Güven, who have been on the rocks since the beginning of the retreat, could agree, “That’s bad.”
“I feel like, at one time, I told him about a vibrator. He was like, ‘Oh, we don’t need that.'” Don’t worry, Paola didn’t listen. She even brought her vibrator to the castle. Desperate times call for desperate measures! “I did bring my toy because, let’s be honest, girls have needs… And I don’t think he going to try to get me there because he never has.”
At this point, many cast members offer their opinions on Paola’s unfortunate situation. Kara Leona, who has been very open about her sexuality, shares, “What a tragedy. Oh, Lord. You know, like, there’s a million ways to skin a cat. You’ve got to talk to your partner, though. But the guy just can’t be like, busting out, and then [leaving] the woman with zero. That’s crazy. That’s absurd. That’s just rude.”
Russ claims their intimacy issues aren’t for lack of trying, as he put it, “She won’t give me any feedback. It’s just you’re wrong. Come on up.” However, it’s clear the duo is going to need to do a lot of work with Dr. Tara to leave the castle feeling satisfied and ready to recommit.
